It looks like a good start, but there's a few tweaks here and there that it could use...

You need to take a Platoon Command Squad in an Infantry Platoon. Think of an Infantry Platoon as a "Mini Force Org Chart" or a FOG within a FOG.

I wouldn't squadron the Vendettas; I think it would be better having them as two separate units of 1. You pick your targets out better this way, and drop off your vets in different places should you need to do so.

Depending on whether or not your guardsmen are all grouped together (a "combined squad" in the codex) you would only need 1 vox caster for the entire group of 30 men. You could use these leftover points for Voxes for the Vets, but I often find that voxes are almost always wasted points in the long run.

Also, should you wish to run the Guardsmen as a blob, it would probably be in your best interest to get a few upgraded weapons (Autocannons, meltaguns, flamers, etc) and attach a Commissar. It probably wouldn't hurt to do the same for your CCS (take a lascannon or autocannon HWT). An astropath would be nice too, if you could find the points, but it might be a tight fit.

Marbo is almost always a good choice as well.

Side effects of worshiping Papa Nurgle include (and are not limited to): Boils, scabs, internal bleeding, external bleeding, bleeding from the gums, eyes and ears, sweating, dehydration, furuncles, rash, pus-filled sores, nausea, vomiting, bloody vomit, black vomit, black & bloody vomit, sneezing, runny nose, dry nose, coughing, dry cough, wet cough, not-so-dry-but-still-raspy coughing, fever, hay fever, athlete's foot, athlete's arm, swimmer's ear, farmer's tongue, drowsiness, sleepiness, insomnia, mad cow disease, mad postal worker disease, loose bowels, constipation, anal leakage, and blood clotting. In most cases side effects were generally in the extreme and permanent. Consult your local cultist before worshiping Nurgle.

Thanks for the quick response! I only get 1 fat attack slot as for the tourney there are restrictions in FOC.

I'm really tight on points so Marbo won't be an option :(.Also for this reason I can't add any more special weapons as I'm at 1000 points even. What I'll probably have to do in thus case is drop the platoon all together and maybe think about a chimera with a vet squad or just have a platoon of 20 guards man as a PCS is required

If your tyranid partner is going melee horde, then I would suggest going all-vets for better shooting.

I'm both chaotic and orderly. I value my own principles, and am willing to go to extreme lengths to enforce them, often trampling on the very same principles in the process. At best, I'm heroic and principled; at worst, I'm hypocritical and disorderly.

I love vets. In my normal list I run them exclusively in chimeras over platoons. However, here's my issue. I only get 1000 points and I really want to field Vendettas, and manticores. Should I scratch the vendettas all together and just bring vets with plasmas in chimeras? I really wanted to bring a list that packs a punch.
