At the weekend I got my hands on a copy of the new 6 Days Wars added for Flames of War Fate of a Nation. SO I have do a review with lots of Spoilers!

Israeli's certainly sound bad-ass from the rule descriptions.

When did the Mag come out? If it's out already I'm off to WH Smith on lunch tomorrow!

I got an early copy are Colours last weekend, I think it outs this weekend.

And yeah the Israelis do seem the best army of the 3 on pager but the Arab 41 T 34/85 hordes for 800pts could be interesting

Just purely out of interest, is there much artwork and how much of it is 'even handed' - i.e. is it similar to the standard FoW books, where it's only acceptable to have art of Soviet/Germans being machine gunned/tanks busted, but this time with those replaced by arabs?

So it looks like the Egyptian tactic is going to be to ram T-34/85s down the opponent's throat while providing covering fire with T-55s.

I had hoped that they would take this opportunity to modify the crippling Hen and Chicks rule.

This rule is terrible outside of the WWII. I dropped it from my Cold War Stuff.

It looks interesting, I am hoping they do a PDF or maybe a small book like the original Tropic Lightning. They are doing the boxed sets so the I would imagine the books would be a Mid-2014 release depending on if it proves popular. Almost what I would do. I looked at this on my first try at a list

Thats 805pts

so 18 152mm Artillery
6 SU-100
Sporadic Air

1470pts add some .50cals to the T-34s for the last 30pts.

Plan would be to double all the T-34's on turn one with the artillery and SU-100's giving some covering fire then pray what ever is left can out flank the 5 or so Israeli tanks they are facing.

Any more info on these? We're about to take the plunge into MicroArmor scale for this period, but a new 15mm manufacturer has me thinking twice.

He said it would be 2-3 weeks, which was 2 weeks ago. Waiting on the releases, but it should all be on sale by end of October.

Any rough estimate on what they are releasing? All I can find on their website is T-55s with a "coming soon" note.

2) Syrians with RPG-7, RPD and squad leaders with AKM -- two of each pose
3) Syrians with Malyutka (Sagger) -- two teams of two
4) Syrian Mortar team -- two crew
5) Syrian heavy MG team with DsHK on tripod -- two poses

6) Israelis with FN FAL -- seven poses
7) Israelis with Uzi -- five poses
8) Israelis squad leaders with Uzi and squad heavy weapons with FN FAL HB/rocket grenades -- two poses or each
9) Israeli command and heavy weapons -- Blindicide bazooka, light mortar, and FN MAG -- two crew for each
10) Israeli heavy mortar team -- two crew
11) Israeli heavy machine guns -- .30 air cooled and .50 M2HB -- two crew

Egyptians will be made in same sets as Syrians except the squad leaders will have Port Said SMGs instead of the AKM.

Yet to see them all, I've seen 1 or 2 preliminaries and they looked really good.

That vehicle pic looks AMAZING. I can't wait to see what the rest of their line looks like =)

Sadly, I think our group is moving forward with Micro Armor (GHQ to be specific) and wants to play 4000 point games -_-

It does look rather good, doesn't it! If the rest of the range looks as good it will be great.

And, love the T-54 but again very expensive considering the number you need of them!

I suggest playing in 6mm with MicroArmour. A few good reasons for this:

Massive tank wars scale better in 6mm,

Much less expensive per tank ($2.00 vs. $10.00), and

MicroArmour has complete line of all units right now.

I have a post that lists the units from MicroArmour in this forum. I posted it about a week ago.

As for 15mm, there aren't many much cheaper options than Battlefront. QRF has some models, as well as Khurasian.
