Subject: Sgt Chronus using Icarus Stormcannon Array -- BS5?

So when Sgt Chronus is added to a Stalker tank and the tank's Icarus Storm Cannon splits its fire in Servo mode is their anything that would prevent those shots from using Chronus' BS5? ie The servo guidelines do not necessarily over ride Chronus special rules -- correct?

Kinda hard, this one. You could also say that Chronos' rule doesn't necessarily override the Storm Cannon rules.

And using the crews normal BS is 4.
This still doesn't help when the rule says you're using BS2 instead of the crews BS.
Definitely doesn't help with Snap Shots.

Nope. YMDC rule - No TMIR.
Chronus' tank has BS5. Using the weapon does not use the tank's BS - it is a set BS of 2.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Think he's referring to the roll-off between two set modifiers rather than TMIR?
Chronus' tank has BS5. Using the weapon does not use the tank's BS - it is a set BS of 2.
Totally agree with this though, it doesn't matter what the BS of the tank is.

Roll-off is TMIR.

I was going off this FAQ:
Q: Does the Initiative 10 imposed by the Timeflow Stabiliser take precedence over other set value modifiers such as Necron W hip Coils? (p106)
A: No, randomly determine which effect takes precedence each turn.
Two competing set modifiers, roll-off each turn.
If he was assuming Chronos' BS was a set modifier, as is the Servo-Tracking, then would that not be a roll-off?
Not that it matters much anyway.

I don't think that is a good comparison, because both are effects that 'set the initiative to X'.
Servo-Tracking is more like: "I don't care about your Ballistic Skill, you shoot at BS2!".
It would be like having Unwieldy while standing close to a Timeflow Stabiliser; no matter what your Initiative is, due to Unwieldy your attacks will always be on I1.
Hell no.
I'm not giving someone a 50% chance to destroy TWO fliers when the rules are so clear on it.

My interpretation is the tanks stat of BS 4 is increased to 5, the Servo Tracking rule still drops it to BS 2 for the split fire.

I'm in the BS2 camp. Chronus increases the tank's BS to 5. However, those shots are then taken as BS2, overriding the tank's own BS. In my mind it's similar to how Snap Shots work out.

There is no camps to be in.
Chronus alters the tanks BS, Servo tracking makes the shots at BS2.
The shots are made at BS2 because they are not effected by the tanks modified BS

Or to put even more simply, weapons with Servo-tracking don't use the tank's BS.
