Depends where in Hertfordshire you want:
Hemel Hempstead:
http://www.hemelwargaming.com/
Stevenage:
http://stevenagewargamers.freeforums.org/index.php
http://battlegroup.blogspot.co.uk/
Bishop's Stortford
http://www.hertsvolunteers.co.uk/
Tring:
https://sites.google.com/site/tringwargames/
Borehamwood:
http://www.thorshammer.tv/index.html
Hitchin (but might be dead):
http://blackwolfwargames.blogspot.co.uk/
St Albans:
https://www.facebook.com/StAlbansGamingClub
Walham Cross (North London, but might be handy)
http://www.nlwg.org.uk/
There's at least one in Watford and one in Letchworth (I think).
I'd be grateful of discovering one in Welwyn Garden City, as despite the local WH Smith stocking all 3 wargame mags plus White Dwarf, I've never managed to find a local gaming scene.

For the Letchworth one, ask in the Toy shop in town (Cuthberts?). My vague memories are seeing a flyer or poster in there for a club.
I work in Letchworth so I'll try to look in next time I'm in the town.

The wargaming club in Letchworth is on Wednesday night from 6:30 - 10:30. Your first night is free and after that it costs 1 or 2 pounds i think. It is at Mrs Howard hall, near the park with the paddling pool

The club's really good, although they are doing a campaign atm. They sell refreshments there and there are some friendly people and lots of CSM players.

Hi all!
I'm hoping to get back into 40k with my Eldar. I've read there is a club in St Albans called Warlords Wargaming. Not sure what age range but hoping for late 20s to early 30s.

PM'd you.
In regards to Warlords Wargaming in St. Albans, I don't go [Sunday's aren't good for me] but I've been down to say hello. Really nice crowd with a strong 40k scene and lots of X--Wing as well. They run campaigns for BloodBowl and Necromunda [and possible others as well]. Highly recommended. They meet in the British Legion from 4pm on Sunday.

Thought I'd try and revive this thread as I'm also now looking for a club in Hertfordshire (I'm based in the St Albans area).
I know of Warlords Wargaming down the road - are they still going? Are there any others in the county that people know of?

The Hemel one is still going (we come down from Luton on a Monday night) and has a diverse game selection - lots of Infinity at the moment (with a tournament due to start soon), Bushido, X wing, Malifaux, some historicals etc. There's been some interest in the Batman game recently. There's also usually a game or two of 40K if that's what you're after.

Cool! Sounds good. What's the best way of organising an opponent for 40k? Just pop an email in?

Thought I'd revive this thread!
I recently moved to Bushey in Hertfordshire and am desperate to get back into the hobby, having spent months getting 2-3k points of Ulthwe Eldar table ready.
I know there's a Watford Club, which is the nearest, but the 40k scene isn't too strong. The next closest is Thor's Hammer near Borehamwood, and I'm kicking myself I left it too late to go tonight after getting the little one down to sleep!
I went to the St Albans one once which was good too, but a bit more of a drive now I'm in Bushey.
Anyone know of any more or in the area looking for private games?

I'm still in Rickmansworth, not too far from there -- I would be up for 40K, though we'd probably need to play on the floor as I no longer have a big enough table! Got sufficient terrain though.
I also play Frostgrave, Dragon Rampant, Infinity, and Song of Blades and Heroes, and am happy to teach any of those too, bar Infinity (bit rusty at that and don't have the latest rules).
Sometimes I drive to the Titans club: about 30 min for me, I'd guess the same for you -- https://www.facebook.com/groups/822812291131777/

Sounds good! Near me there is a club in Watford / Oxhey, St Albans and Well End near Borehamwood. I'm trying out the St Albans one this Sunday (Warlords Wargaming) if you're around?

The Hemel Hempstead wargaming site was closed but the club is still going strong. Any chance the Hemel Wargames entry could be updated to show our Forum and FaceBook page instead?
