The spoiler is about Agent Coulson's assumed fate, as it's mildly hinted in that convo. But he was too loved to be gone, and the show takes place after the movie, not before as some assumed. Thoughts? Outrage? Happiness?

I kind of liked his character, and I did think it was a waste to kill him off - so it makes sense to "bring him back"

I think was already stated, very publicy, by Joss Whedon that in Avenger's it was all a ruse, and that he never died. We had a big bit about it here earlier where those of us with good taste and that care about narrative integrity thought it was a bit of a cop out that removes any significance from the moment.

Well, this way does bring him back without being a copout, so...I'll ride with it. I'm enjoying it so far.

Any time a narrative makes someone dead and then revives them for future monetary gain, is a copout.

Heh, well, anyone who takes Joss Whedon's word on a story element doesn't know Joss Whedon.

I liked it. I am not thoroughly addicted to the show.

I was really looking forward to this show. It was "ok".

My only gripe was that they were kind of cheap with the cast. I didn't get the feel that this was the SHIELD organization with 1,000's of agents with gazillions of of dollars to spend protecting earth.

Hope they fix that in future episodes.

Got a question: isn't the org supposed to be, you know, multi-national? It was very white, very brite on that first episode.
