Has anyone else used online stores and been totally disgusted by their service. I've just been messed around by weyland games for 6weeks before they just decided to cancel my order. Of course this is while I'm trying to chase it up with their courier service, which was meant to have it...... I bet it never even got shipped! I'm so fed up with the stress and hassle I'm glad to be refunded! At least I never have this kind of problem from GW!

1) The tau release would like to argue that point about shipping problems
2) Barring that really odd example in point 1), GW wouldn't have supply problems because they make the product.

I was using GW as an example of good customer service. Irrelevant of who produces the product, if it's in stock (or meant to be in stock) shouldn't take me emailing them for them to dispatch it, shouldn't take 6weeks to deliver, shouldn't be canceled because they can't be bothered to find out where it is (if it's even dispatched)
Not digging at the comments, just frustrated and angry with weyland for their disgusting service.

I agree none of those things should have happened, but they did and GW wasn't a good example simply because they make the product and have a chokehold on things like internet retailers.
So is this just to rant about stuff that have been noted and documented up in Dakka Discussions for months now, or for people to tell of their bad service experiences?

It generally is, they just take a while to deliver. I can't say I've ever had a problem with them.

Yeah my bad really, kinda ranting cos I'm quite frustrate and angry.
But yeah I started this up to see if people can give me sites to use and more importantly sites to keep away from.

Nerve damage in my arm prevents me from doing any decent painting, so I find myself using commission artists and paint services regularly. And I have to say, the service from Bluetablepainting is severely lacking.

I had a real issue trying to cancel Lovefilm...
They kept suggesting I switch to a different payment plan or leave it a bit longer so I could cancel on the last day and get better value for money (I guess that one is less bad but it was annoying) In the end i rang up and told them I was moving to Azerbaijan to work on an oil rig in the Caspian Sea...

Swedish news story told about an 18 year old guy who was forced by a gang to walk into phone stores and sign those "free phone" deals, and then give the gang the phones, while he was stuck with the bills. When this was revealed the companies refused to write off the deals, but would have the kid keep paying.
That's pretty bad service.

Bad service:
Hermes couriers(email customer service)
Got a package from them that was addressed to some one else so I emailed them it took 4 weeks and about 6-7 emails, of back and forths for them to then carry me off on a tangent having been replied to each time by different people, for them to then tell me they couldn't help me and I need to speak to the people i made the order with for my package even tho as stated it was not mine, each email was like a example in how to ignore what I had asked and said! In the end when I spoke to the holland and barret(which I had to open the box to find out it was them)sorted it in one email after I forwarded all the emails I sent to Hermes to them and they even sent me gift vouchers to say sorry for something that wasn't even there fault for!
Virgin media(some guy who phoned me)
Gave me info on a great phone deal was actully interested but could finish the phone call because of an appointment told the guy this so he said it would only be a max of 3-5 mins more than 5 mins past and I'm getting close to being late and the call seem no where near finished so I tell him I would like email or postal info or a contact number as I need to hang up he then starts hasseling me about it as I guess he feels he isn't going to get his commission and just hangs up when I asked for his name as I said his attitude towards me and making a sale was wrong, I was really pissed very close to phoning virgin to complain if it wasn't such a ball ache to do such things!

Cool, cheers guys.
Don't use: Lovefilm, Hermes, weyland and by association UKmail, bluetablepainting and I should maybe ditch Virgin for another ISP.
Anyone got any good UK model sites to use? A buddy of mine recommends totalwargamer.co.uk so I'm going to try them out.
The particular kit I'm after is a Dreamforge leviathan crusader
Cheers

I'd like to see some of your positive experiences as I'm looking for maybe a pretty big conversion/paint project
