So i have searched the forums for any and all info regarding other than BF model stores. I am fairly new to the system and have been trying to find new 15mm models that are not crap and good for the money. Hopfully this is not out of place requesting we start this tread to consolidate all of the websites. Thanks all

Ill start it off by putting out the Plastic Soldier Company.

This is a great model company out of the UK. They have high values for their tanks and low to medium for infantry.

Quick Reaction Force, good for some more unusual vehicles, especially command and communication types. Tanks i have had from them are good, never ordered any infantry

http://quickreactionforce.co.uk/

Forged in battle, personally do not like the vehicles, mainly because they are cast with a base which i really dislike, also scale especially with German half tracks can be off. However my friend uses there British infantry and they are nice models

http://www.forgedinbattle.com/index.php?cPath=22

Also Peter Pig, but have never bought anything from them myself

http://www.peterpig.co.uk/range8.htm

Also Zvezda art of tactic stuff, great for trucks and the like, also useful for early war vehicles. The vehicles are 15mm (1/100) but the infantry and crew served weapons are all 20mm (1/72) so unsuitable. You can generally buy these from any model shop, also PSC sells them on the website.

I use quite a lot of these, trucks for Germans and Russians as well as the KV models, been impressed by them all

Old Glory 15s, again not really had much experience of these, i believe they are sold under quality castings, would be good to hear anyone's experience of these

The 'old glory' you linked to are the Quality Casting line, and are okay. I have a lot of their tanks and other vehicles. Infantry is mediocre.

The 'other' Old Glory have the Command Decision line: http://oldglory25s.com/index.php?cat_id=101&catname='15mm Command Decision WWII Figures' decent infantry and again, I have a lot of their vehicles and like them. Some better than others as some of the molds are a little old and the castings can show mold wear. They are often on sale at 40% off and at that price are very well worth it. They also have a discount club that gives you the discount for a membership fee which depending on how much you intend to purchase over a year can be a real money saver.

Plastic Soldier Company has a growing line of vehicles and infantry which seem to get favorable reviews. http://theplasticsoldiercompany.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1 Places like The Warstore carry them at a discount too.

Oh, I have some Peter Pig. The infantry are decent (but have a unique look some don't like) and the vehicles gorgeous but expensive here in the US.

The key to 15mm Models is to cross check ranges. Some ranges have great infantry, and crap vehicles. Or the vehicles look great but are slightly out of scale (happens alot!!!).

No-one range is quite as good or as consistent as Battlefront (I fancy this will start a row now!), that's not to say they are the best, far from it, they just release the fewest "Stinking Models", the ones you see and you go "No....Just No....What were you thinking?".

A recent example of this was the Zvezda 15mm Abrams Tank, the rest of the released range was great, the Abrams was terrible it looked half finished.

The best place to do that is TMP - The miniatures Page.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Boom

When your opponent starts to complain that your army is overpowered and you look down at your Beastmen army book and smile to yourself, your doing something right

What's the opinion on Plastic Soldier Company's infantry? They seem to include a lot of the same poses in one box.

Wow.. those are amazing!

Think the PSC are lovely little minis. The plastic makes painting them very easy, and the detail level is tremendous for such a small scale.

Some late war grenadiers I've painted:

It's a thread permanently attached to the top of the page. There's one full of links to manufacturers (and lots more) and another one with a beginners guide to FoW.

PSC's infantry looks great but some if it is a little too fragile, 15mm plastic infantry just doesn't work for me. IMO FiB make the best infantry. QRF's range is very patchy, some sculpts are excellent, some less so.

Skytrex/Old Glory's Command Decision range is also great but Skytrex is currently in administration. Hopefully someone will pick up the range and continue production.

Peter Pig's range is great (some don't like the faces or fat guns on tanks). I used to buy these from my FLGS (who are the UK retailer) but orders have been patchy recently (I don't know if this affects direct orders).

Zvesda's range is great (though some of their sculpts are a little on the small side). BTW: Does anyone know why their modern stuff 1:100 stuff is double the cost of the WWII stuff at £6.50 per kit?
