I guess this is the most appropiate place to put this.

How do think that Tau could take out a Bio Titan. A player down at my store is now bringing one along to apocalypse and I've yet to face it. However, I'm wondering what I can take to do a bit of damage to it. Unfortunately I don't have a Tigershark, so giving it a D Weapon to the face isn't an option I can do with my Tau at the moent. However I noticed that even with my Farsight Bomb with 16 fusion blasters & Monster Hunter (7 suits & Shadowsun) isn't going to take this thing out to a reasonable standard.

Any suggestions?

The fluff is like ketchup and mustard on a burger. Yes it's desirable, yes it makes things better, but no it doesn't fundamentally change what you're eating and no you shouldn't just drown the whole meal in it.

Sniper rounds wound it on a 6.

@OP

There's not much you can do but to just hit it with a lot of AP 1/2 guns. If you have any insta-death weapons, that will be a good idea as Insta-death weapons nowadays causes 1D3 Wounds to a gargantuan. Just ally a unit of grey knights (i.e. paladins with hammers, warding stave and a Brotherhood banner) and you may kill it easily.

I do have Grey Knights and I did think of this. It wasn't something I really wanted to do though since I quite like my Tau and wanted to see what I could do with them alone. At the moment I'm thinking I'll just have to try and hold it up with a Riptide. If I'm lucky to get my 3++ invulnerable I might be able to keep it locked in combat for a couple of turns.

The other option is to leave it to my partner since we play apocalypse in pairs.

Gargantuan creatures don't stay locked in combat (unless it's another GC or super-heavy walker).

I'm not familiar with Tau, but the bottom line is that you'll need a crap-ton of S8 to S10 (low AP) hits. I took one down with older BT TH/SS termie squad (they used to have Rage and Furious Charge).

As mentioned, D weapons or Insta-death weapons work well too, assuming the insta-death weapons can wound in the first place. Those are harder to come by anyway.

It's not much but I hope it helps, the Hierophant might be a scary sight but don't forget about the rest of the army!
