Hey guys,

Planning on hitting up battle brothers in a few months, but want some feedback on our list before we commit. Neither of us has played since 4th and we want to take a competitive, maybe slightly cheesy, list.

The only thing set in stone are the races... Comments very welcome.

How does this look...

Primary detachment: IG

Co'y HQ w/ 4 flamers
Veterans w/ 3 plasma
Veterans w/ 3 melta
Vendetta
Vendetta
Manticore
Vendettda
900 ish

SECONDARY ELDAR
Spiritseer,
5 wraith guard in a wave serpent (bright lances and spirit stones),
crimson hunter (exarch)
and 5 rangers.
Exactly 600

We've never played 6th (or 5th) so any feedback is deeply appreciate!

I would swap out the eldar crimson hunter and rangers for some dire avengers and another waveserpent.

Do the wraithguard have scythes or cannons?

You may want to consider trading out the vets for two minimum platoons with 4x flamer PCS. If you swap the eldar units like I suggested you will almost have the points.

Spirit stones are mostly unnecessary on a waveserpent. Holo fields are good and ghost walk matrix can be useful.

Do the wave serpents not drop fairly easily?

And the wraiths only have the cannons sadly... It's a costly upgrade...

Waveserpents are crazy durable for their points. Keep them at arms length with the serpent shield up turbo boosting them with holofields if you need to survive a huge amount of fire. It will be a 3+ cover save AV12 vehicle that downgrades pen's to glances on a 2+. This means it is about as durable as a wraithlord in a fortification.

Who has the warlord? If you have the warlord he could take a laugh autarch and replace the wraithguard with more serpents caring dire avengers or guardians. He could then remove AA fairly effectively before you arrive and he could even help get you on easier. You would also be spamming 2 of the 4 most "cheesy" units in the game...The wraithguard unit isn't bad it is a bit expensive for this points level though and you cover anti tank fairly well.

Yep they are considered one of the top competitive units often ranked up there with helldrakes, riptides, vendettas, and fateweaver in efficiency per point.

i love serpents. They are two good not to have. i have a minimum of three in every list. usually i just put dire avengers in them, and there sole purpose was to unlock the wave serpent for me. my advise, give them scatter lasers instead of Bl. consider aslo a shuiken cannon, and holo feilds. U shall have lots of enjoyment watching all of there anti tank weapons glancing off of it.

I do drugs.
Mostly Plastic Crack, but I do dabble in Cardboard Cocaine.
