I thought some folks might be interested in these pics from a game I played this weekend. The game itself was pretty one-sided with Alex rolling a string of crits, but it made for some good pictures, and I thought the terrain looked it. It's a mix of purchased and homemade stuff. Also the first outage of a few pieces of the Sedition Wars Terrain kit, which honestly I wasn't too thrilled with.

That was pretty cool, especially with the fro on AJ. Plus they're all painted really well to boot! I always get a bit bummed when I loose a guy to a face to face ARO, especially when the odds are in your favour. That Djanzaban death reminded me of a recent one where I had a HMG intruder attack a janissary out of combat camo. I got 4 hits. He somehow saved them all then took his one shot ARO and nailed my guy, first encounter of the game as well.

Those plastic terrain parts are nice. In particular that 3 sided ad-board next to the odalisque and those laser defence walls. Some of the other barriers though I'm a bit conflicted as to whether its a door or a wall... works either way I suppose. I've been entertaining the idea of getting those MAS holo boards but was stalling a bit. Its nice to see them in other settings than the studio pics, they do work well IMO. May just pick up a few.

If your attack is going too well, you have walked into an ambush

The easy way is always mined

Oh, they're totally intended to be doors for the inside of a space ship - they're Sedition Wars terrain pieces. So don't be conflicted - you're right! But I figured they'd make good, and cheap, scatter barriers.

That's one cool table you have there. Armies look cool as well, blond Odalsique, pink Fusiliers (Bipandra should look stunningly in it).

Terrain looks fantastic!

Can I ask where you got the ground/roads from? Is it some kind of mat?

It's the DZC Cityscape tiles, glued down to wood. It's designed for 10mm urban mass combat, but it works remarkably well for 28s too. There's a few wonky intersections that look out of scale that I just cover up with buildings.

looks really fantastic. i love how people turn everyday things into terrain like the upturned bowl on the roof.

Wish i had the motivation to scratch build terrain.

awesome work!

Whats the afro dude? Please tell me he's actually part of the game!

If not, where did you get the model? Ever since I've started this I've had the weirdest desire to run a group of disco freaks in a time traveling cadillac that have gotten stranded in the future...
