I've posted this list several times on several sites and am having trouble getting feedback, is this because it looks like a good list or maybe because people are not playing black Templars or anything like that? Let me know thanks!

hmmm. in my opinion? not enough models

Not super competitive but a nice fun, fluffy list.

With the pod setup you're gonna have a hard time coordinating a concerted assault with Helbrecht's special rule, I would almost switch to 3 rhinos instead.

Fairly balanced list overall, have fun!

For one, it's illegal. Each of your crusader squads has more Neophytes than Initiates. Once you upgrade an Initiate to a Sword Brother, he's no longer an Initiate and doesn't count towards to the number of Neophytes you can have in the squad.

That's very RAW... In a friendly game I wouldn't have a problem letting him play it that way. But a valid point nonetheless.

If you are running crusader squads bigger is better and foot slog them. I played this weekend and got smashed at 1850 by 17 man crusader squads 3 of them. Even though I won overall I was nearly tabled only having 3 models on the table after 6 turns.

OP asked for it, so I delivered. Besides, I think the list would be better served by having more Initiates in each pod. Dropping Neophytes into the backfield is just signing their death certificate anyway. Spend the extra 20 points a squad and just fill each pod with Initiates instead. Plus the fluff bunny in me feels that putting anybody not in power armour into a drop pod is just gonna make a mess on impact

You can probably scrounge the extra points by dropping some of the extras, like a going down to 2 or 3 TH instead of 5, losing the MM on the Crusader. That's enough points to switch one squad right off.

fluff wise I have read about the drop pods filling with liquid gel foam quickly then it dispersing before it opens.

I've A LOT of the books and all the codexs and I've never seen the foam gel. Do you by any chance remember where you read that. I'd like to read it too.

Hey thanks for all the Input I appreciate it and the should prolly FAQ the sword brother thing cause technically if you have him lead a full squad you could never take all ten neophytes.

I also agree with not enough models because in 1850 most opponents will have plenty to deal with 15 tac marines and 15 scouts so yeah thanks for that.
