I love me some robot uprising. Of course there's always the little part of me that wants them to win...

Ha when I moused over this thread I saw that you had said this before I had seen the video. Made more sense afterwards.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Those are so much better and more realistic than stuff you see in big budget films. :(

That looks pretty damn cool.

In similar fashion, I want this robot gone bad short film to to made a real flick too:

Looks really generic but then again I don't think most trailers do films justice and I don't really use them as a way of determining if I want to see the film or not (I usually look at a couple of review sites instead).

Really, a big part of the draw is the art direction. Aaron Beck is an amazing artist.

His robot/cyberpunk/androids look so awesome.

Don't get to see enough of it in D9 or Elysium. A full movie of that stuff would just blow my mind.

Very awesome design work for the robots and soldiers. I'd love to see a movie like that, but I'd hope they had a decent script and director to make it work.

Looking for a club in Brisbane, Australia? Come and enjoy a game and a beer at Pubhammer, our friendly club in a pub at the Junction pub in Annerley (opposite Ace Comics), Sunday nights from 6:30. Pubhammer is Moving! Starting from the 25th of May we'll be gaming at The Junction pub (AKA The Muddy Farmer), opposite Ace Comics & Games in Annerley! Still Sunday nights from 6:30 in the Function room Come along and play Warmachine, 40k, boardgames or anything else!

Oh, don't get me wrong the art direction looks great but the overall theme feels like something I've seen plenty of times but then again I find most trailers don't really showcase what makes the movie great they highlight the best bits but there's no context with a trailer.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also I find movies that rely almost entirely on visuals boring to watch I need to feel engaged in the world and with the characters to enjoy a movie.

I'm not saying that if it was ever turned into an actual feature film that it wouldn't fall into the same trap, but you have to understand that it's a short clip made by a visual effects company mostly for the purpose of pushing the limits of what they could do in production.

So, uh... where's the kickstarter for this? That looks like it has so many cool elements in it that I love, with potential for a lot more. and that second one, the serial killer robot was also very cool. Not full length cool, but awesome short.

It's a Hollywood movie it doesn't need a kickstarter.

Hrm, seems this trailer is for a short film.

I thought it was just some SFX house's resume.

Oh, OK I stand corrected but it is shot like and looks like a big Hollywood blockbuster trailer.
