Hiya guys
I'm delving into your welth of knowledge to get some opinions on tablets. I'm interested because I do a lot of drawing, emailing, surfing blah blah blah..
I know this is pretty vague but any suggestions? Would lime something wuthwith a stylus because it would be easier to draw, possibility of external hard drive, wi fi (don't want to pay for any phone subscriptions or ought like that.
Hoping not to spend more than £150/220
Cheers my good sir's

The Nexus series Android tablets are very good and cost effective. The Nexus 7 in the UK is 199.

My Nook with a Cyanogen Android operating system is pretty good. It was about $150, then you have to put the Android system on it yourself.

This. I can feel you from experience DO NOT BUY an Acer iconia a110. It's a beast on paper and seems a fighter to the nexus. I own one and I've been passed about buying this for awhile now. I've had it 4 months and I've sent it in for repairs twice, and the last time they didn't fix my most of the problems. These tabs are junk

The Samsung Note series offers usable stylus support. They're at least 50 to 100 quid above your limit though.
I believe there are no other good stylus capable tablets in the same or lower price bracket around at the moment.

I currently have the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 it has a smart stylus with short cuts built in and the drawing is great with pressure sensitivity, It cost me 399 American though. I've had it since June and I adore it

I had an Acer a210 (the 10" one) as a refurb that I got from woot that I was actually quite fond of. Unfortunately, I bricked it while trying to update to a new version of the OS. Can't restore it because Acer won't release the proprietary Windows ROM writing software, and not in warranty.
I got a Nexus 7 second edition as a replacement, and I love the thing. I miss the 10" screen, but it's a fine tablet aside.

I'm going to be grabbing myself and the GF a nexus 7 (32gb) in the next month or so.
I looked around quite a bit and it just seems like the best bang for your buck. I'm not interested in ipads/minis - I'm sick of seeing them defended to the death by people who don't know any better.

My niece has one, and I've used it a bit. No complaints, it's a nice little piece of gear. I'd recommend it.

the first question is what do you plan on using it for? and where will you be using it the most? ... do you mind if it only has internet connection when hooked up to a wifi or do you prefer it to have internet where ever you go...
those will help narrow down more to what will fit your needs the most.
android / ios / windows all have their ups and downs ... some manufactures stand out a bit more then others ... but picking up a tablet that does not do what you want is more frustrating then buying one that isn't what everyone else said you should get.
