Who/what is he? He seems to be one of the most powerful fluff hero in the IoM since prinarchs. Is it a spirit of sangunius? I mean. He man handled the bloodthirster of bloodthirsters.

No one knows. There are few theories as to who he is.
Azkellan - the founder of the Sanguinary Guard, and last surviving member from the Horus Heresy.
Sanguinius - it is believed that when Sanguinius was killed by Horus his spirit split into two. The darker half turned into the Red Thirst/Black Rage where the lighter half manifested itself as Sanguinor.
A Psychic construct - This is the Inquisitors favourite as it is evidence that the chapter has become perilously close to mutation, corruption and ultimately heresy.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

The Sanguinor flies down out of matt wards backside the warp and saves the day, because obviously the BA characters can't punch their way out of a paper bag.
Mainly, because the Sanguinor stole eternal warrior off've Dante. And he got a 3++ too.
The Sanguinor flies down to a battle singing
"Here I come to save the day!"
Blood Angel 1 - Who's that?
Blood Angel 2 - Thats mighty mouse the Sanguinor.
BA1 - Who?
BA2 - He's some dude who appears, kills stuff and then disappears after each battle
BA2 - So he's BA Draigo? anyone would think they were written by the same author...
Where do you think he goes?
BA1 - No-one knows...
BA2 - and why has no-one ever heard of him before?
BA1 - We all did, we just didn't tell you
BA2 - At least he remembered to bring his sandals and embossed nipple armour...

Ordnance is high caliber explosives.

Fluff-wise, the Sanguinor is actually VERY well documented, to the point where the Blood Angels' reclusiarchs put together a list of the circumstances that he consistently appears under and have detailed records of his appearances. The information is classified, though, so he's just a myth to most Blood Angels as far as they know, I suppose, but "as far as they know" and "truth" are two different things, here.

Given I've not seen any fluff indicating that the reclusiarchs of the chapter have any such documentation...Can you source this?

Yea, knowing the circumstances he appears under doesn't help you very much when those circumstances include "Desperate situation" and "Almost everyone is dead."

The fluff is just another example of the abysmal fluff that permeates the BA codex. While the over arching concept isn't terrible, the way its written makes the whole thing seem like a fanboy wet dream. As such its just hard to take the character seriously or even give a flying fig about its accomplishments.
I like the performance of the character on the table top. But as a fluff piece, he is pretty forgettable after a roll or two of the eyes.

I have to agree with this. Essentially, Celestine (and all other living saints), the Sanguinor, and possibly even Draigo (I know, I know) are more or less "good" Daemon Princes, that the Emprah elevated within the Warp upon their deaths (and yes Drago is DEAD, I don;t care what his Wardness says)

My sanguinor uses a power axe (the Glaive version), so he is ap2. But mostly meant the fluff character is op. Therefore his fluff is full of fun and silly opness
