Hi Dakka,

Been out of the game for a while and have altered this list based on a few things read around the site. Here is the list so far:

HQ
BuffMaster - CCN, M3S, Puretide Chip, OG, SI, DC(2MarkerD) and IA - 212pts

Troops
FW x 6 - 54pts
FW x 6 - 54pts
Kroot x10 +1 Hound - Sniper Rounds - 75pts
Kroot x10 +1 Hound - Sniper Rounds - 75pts

Elites
Riptide - Ion A, EWO, Stim In - 225pts
Crisis x2 - 4x FB, Target Lock - 109pts

Fast Attack
Tetra - DP - 50pts
Tetra - DP - 50pts

Heavy Support
Skyray - DP - 115pts
Skyray - DP - 115pts
Broadsides x3 - EWO, 6x MissDro - 282pts

Aegis Defence Line - 50pts

Total 1466pts

I have read that tetras have gone from H4 to H2 so I am wondering if pathfinders are worth taking. I think I will outflank both lots of Kroot. The crisis suits are for DS. Nothing else too it really.

Any suggestions, or tips would be greatly welcome.

Thanks in advance,

ATO

Looks a little light on troops, I'd split the FWs into 2x6 just to avoid your opponent killing 3 and the whole unit running off the board.

Also, you've overspent 5pts on your Fusion Suits.

Pathfinders can work, but they die relatively quickly.

Drop the disruption pods from your Skyrays, after they Alpha strike they are just mobile Skyfire Markerlights. Save the Points.

You may be able to drop the VTs from the broadsides, with Skyrays you ahve SKyfire Markerlights to mitigate your BS and will twinlink from the Buffmander. EWO may be better.

You may find use in a Stim Injector for you Buffmander since he will be on Tanking Duty.

I think the sentiment that the poster above me was saying is that only one of your Crisis Suits needs to have Target Lock and not both of them.

Suggestions.

1) If you need more marker lights adding some marker drones might be a good call. Giving them to your Commander and give him a drone controller will mean they hit on 2s.

2) Give your Broadsides EWO instead this lets the unit shoot at any units coming in from reserve who want to flame you up close. Also purchase a Shas'ui for them. Nothing worse than having them run off the table cause you lost a few drones. The missle drones are fine, keep them at 6 drones for the unit. If you are also taking the HYMP set-up on your Broadsides then laugh manically during games.

3) Personally, I like to have a hammerhead with Longstrike & Submunition Rail Gun in it as well, but you may not have the points for that. It just gives a good option for anything AV14 from a good distance away (i.e. Land Raider). Otherwise, the Crisis suits with Fusions are your men for this job.

Nice one guys, thanks for the responses.

Ill drop the Dpods on the Rays. I will also replace the VT's with EWO on the Broadsides. I am running them as HYMP's.

I am only concerned that he is likely to have 2 stormravens to deal with and hence the VT's on the broadsides. I am also correct in thinking that if the broadsides shoot at any deepstriking units they forgoe their next round of shooting?

Does anyone use Tau fighters at all?

If I attach two Marker drones on my commander and attach them to a group of broadsides they have to light up the same target as the broadsides?

I have updated the list above and still have about 34pts left over, I could perhaps get rid of one of the skyrays for longstrike?

Yes. which means drop them as what you shot at with your Broadsides is probably so dead that no one will be able to use the markelights to find their corpses.

That is a good point, I think I may have to invest in some pathfinders to make up for lack of Marker support!
