Ok, for me it would, but I'm a terrible painter. I mean for normal people.

Worse comes worse, you could print a sheet of transfers and be done with it. I was thinking more along the lines of the sculpted details on the shoulder pads.

There is zero cloth on those models, though, although it seems the heavy troopers will have removable cloth bits, or minimal (if highly repetitive) green stuff could have you covered.

All you need for cloth is green stuff. Then just use some bits like purity seals to make it fancy

That looks damn good to me, and could easily pass for a SoB with the right color scheme, etc.

And to be honest I agree. Sisters of Battle have no place being sexy. There's no time for makeup with so many heretics to burn!

Y'know I totally blanked on 2 of the biggies, Void and (old) Warzone.

Void has a line of female cyber angel troops in their VASA faction.

http://www.scotiagrendel.com/Products/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=59

IIRC there were some female armored troops as well. But Void tends to run small, around 25mm.

Old Warzone had several armored female units, the Brotherhood Valkyries, the Imperial Mourning Wolves and the Bauhaus Etoiles Mortant

They've been OOP for 10 years or more, Prince August has some but not all so you'll need to hunt ebay etc. But they're mostly solid sculpts though they run a bit big 32mm or so.

Which unfortunately means we're pretty much stuck until Raging Heroes begins production.

The Ground Zero Games 25mm scifi stuff is actually pretty good once you see it in person. However, it is totally out of scale with 40k and has a 90s design aesthetic that does not match GW whatsoever. Their 15mm ranges and their space ships in their Full Thrust line are just plain excellent though.

But their 25mm sci-fi? Slightly small and not matching GW in style even back in the rogue trader days. They're totally out of place now.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

Plus GZG hasn't updated the photos on their site in over a decade. Every so often I think of buying their stuff but if I can't actually see it...

The Void stuff is beautiful but not that much cheaper than going GW.

GZG updates their new releases, which have largely been 15mm sci-fi and new Full Thrust fleets. Agreed Jon'd probably sell more if he did have somebody photograph the 25mm stuff but that don't sound like his priority.

I bought their Romanov (I think that's what they're called) female army a few years back. They're nice models but very definitely 25mm. A Mantic Orx Marauder dwarfs them if that gives you an idea.

Honestly, I'd be game for 25mm... especially when facing CSM or SM armies, or even if using SM as allies, just because it might finally drive the size difference across convincingly.

Someone just posted these (IMO fairly nice) models for 15mm. The company makes 25mm stuff so there's always possibility they could scale these up if they do well.

I know these won't meet approval of many but I think they look pretty darn good esp. for 15mm.

I don't know why I didn't think of this before, as I think someone already mentioned the Black Widows from Dreamforge Games.
There's also the Heavy Eisenkern Troopers coming. While not female models (although one could try to argue how one would tell the difference with that much armor on), they do have a gothic, knightly look to them that other alternative models lack.

Funny. I picked up the standard Eisenkern 10 trooper box today based on suggestions from this thread (who can tell their gender under that armor?).

The HETs you posted, T42, look great.
Hope those are available in the near-ish future.

Danke. I can't tell if they look right, or just a wee bit too small.

Probably is, Statuesque aren't heroic scale.

I think you'd have to stare at them pretty obsessively to persuade yourself that it doesn't work. Even then it's really only the arms that seem a bit ape like.
Looks pretty awesome to me.

If you shave the arms at the connection point a bit and just sand the torso a bit, they should come in closer to the body. But the plastic minis aren't as ape-like. And anyhoo, Black Widows. Come on 2014!!!!!

I don't think anyone has mentioned the Dreamforge Female minis that are coming next quarter.
Females in both the body armored stormtroopers and Power Armored Heavy Troopers.

Really I think that these are the best options out there. They are definitely gothic, but have shed the S&M look in favor of something a bit more realistic, though I'm not totally sold on the berets.
And of course being Dreamforge they will be really well done plastic kits with lots of kit bash potential

And just to give you some more options, though hard to find now, there's always the original Sisters of Battle proxy.
Demonblade Games Shock Sisters.

Mega Minis sold them until they closed up shop recently, but I don't know who has the molds now. I remember these from the 90's and they actually predate the release of Games Workshop's own Sisters of Battle.
They were originally part of the Grenadier "K-Force" line of 40k proxies before it was bought and expanded by Demonblade games in 96

Those were the dark time, back when all we knew about the Sisters was an entry or two in "Codex Imperialis".

The concept is nice, but the execution is terrible. There's no way there could be a person inside that suit. Lots of termies have this problem, but this takes it to a whole new level.

Talking about reviving a death thread, Some of the designs are nice but the sculptor should check more on the female anatomy, some of these figures have their breasts as high as their collarbones!
