A bit of a delay has been announced, not surprising considering the number of cast they need to do now

Hi all,

Due to the amazing success and the stretch goals castings, we'll have to wait a bit more before being able to paint these minis.

The first wave of minis will be shipped in March and the second one in April.

If we can manage to receive the minis earlier, we'll keep you informed!

There was a hiccup with fulfilment on this one as one of the Freebie minis was not casting right, so it had to go back to the sculptor for modification, but an email today says all is back on course

"Hi,
I'm Jérémie Bonamant Teboul, FIGONE's head manager.
If you're reading the newsletter or following us on Facebook, you should already know that we've got some terrible delay on the delivery of Roccos to the backers of Indiegogo crowdfunding. This, all because of a damn broken part during the molding.
This happened 1 month ago and I'm just receiving now a big box containing 200 units that will surely be shipped at the end of this week!
I should then be able to send 50 more units each week, which means that everything should be delivered by June.
Again, we apologize for the delay. Nobody could have foreseen how successful this crowdfunding became, as well as the amount of stretch goals unlocked.
Thanks to everyone for their support! This fig could not been be done without you. I hope that every one of you will enjoy painting every piece that we're including in the parcel.

Important:
In case you would like me to add some more FIGONE stuff in the parcel without paying extra postage, bear in mind that it's possible. To get it done, just contact me directly and quickly."

Info from the newsletter

Hello everyone!

First good news, 150 Rocco have just left the house!

At a speed of 50 more per week, in 3 weeks everything will have been shipped. We've had a slight delay in production due to a piece which broke during casting, which Christian Hardy hurried to repair so as not to keep the future owners of this big beast waiting.
Everyone will get as a gift 3 32mm models offered with Rocco, as all the objectives of the campaign have been met!

Well I can report that my pledge has now arrived, so here are some pictures

Tahar Ama and Helmutt

Carmina

Rocco

His rider

alternate banner

The good:

Helmutt, Tahar' Ama and Carmina are all well cast and look good, I'll enjoy making and painting them and as free bonus figures fantastic (still uncertain if they were limited to the indiegogo or will show up in the Figone store, but if they do buy with confidence)

Rocco and the orc are well cast, and the option to have a spear or banner gives you more flexibility, the detail on the orc, saddle and rocco's head will be a joy to paint

The bad

The hollow cast body and rock have more potential to twist so you may need to use hot water to get the best fit and minimise putty work... I'm happy to do so but those with limited experience with resin may not realise how to do this

The captive woman's head is part of the saddle, I really wish it was either a separate piece or part of her body, as it is you have to use her and I'd prefer her to have been an optional bit
(she's really nicely done and I might have used her in another project

The two versions of Rocco (banner/spear) are now up for order on the Figone website and not everybody has received their pledge. It's a minor issue since we were given an update that 150 units would ship as an initial batch, then 50 per week until all were sent, but an update saying everything is in the post would have been a smart move

The Ugly

There's one bit of nasty mould slip on Rocco, but to be fair it underneath his chest so would be hard to see even if I wasn't confident about fixing it

My print was unsigned and had been mangled by being unprotected in a padded envelope with the resin bits this seems to be a common complaint.... I'm not too bothered but if I had been intending to frame it I'd have been upset

Verdict
A great project with some outstanding rewards I'm very happy to have been part of (but with a few minor niggles to sort out for next time)

Is there a game associated with these figures?

If so - off to Misc. Miniature Games!

If not - Dakka Discussions, I guess?
