Hey guys trying to figure out how to paint my witch blades.. I'm torn between the standard blue style weapons but decided I'd try purple out, not sure how I like it. Would love some comments or suggestions. Also these are not complete models.





Also the gems on the shoulders I think ill do purple and the helmet most likely a gold or copper. Ideas ?

I like the cloak on the last picture, I'd say keep with orange bikers maybe just highlight black and deep purple.

I'd give a solid color a try rather than adding a pattern. I think adding a large pattern to the cloaks as well will make the models appear too busy. I agree that a dark purple would look really good with your other color choices.

This is more or less exactly what I had in mind; provides a nice uniformity to the group that won't clash with the differing patterns on the bikes themselves.

Every time I see these guys they get better and better, with a similar effect on the sword and some spot color on the rider's armor you'll be sitting pretty. (And just saw that was already your plan, great minds eclipse, great minds...)

Once again gotta say that is a fantastic kitbash and something I would love to replicate if I had those kits to hand, as to how you sourced all the bits that shows either amazing dedication of a fantastic bits box, either way something to be jealous of. Have you managed to add the shuri-catapults to the bottom of the bikes and if so any tips on how to source them in a large number?

As to the colours the purple looks great and contrasts with the orange really well.

Well Eclipse, I for one think the purple power weapons look really good.

For bikes, I always think that separating the riders from the bikes (in terms of colors) is important and that throwing a blue sword alongside the purple cloak would be crowding them.

What colors do you plan for the visor?

Diggin the purple swords keep those hehe.

I also got some shuriken guns from guardians kit that ill be adding to the gun pod under the hood.

I think a good dark gold helmet would look good with a black visor, maybe with some orange mixed into the gold?

I dunno about the gold helmet Eclipse... I'm just worried about getting too many colors on there. You've already got orange, blue, black and purple.

How about a glossy black visor with the metal parts of the helmet purple. This could be nice as it sort of repeats the pattern on the cape (purple-black fade).

Your wish is my command! Thinking maybe leave the gems black, worried about over saturation. Ideas?

As to the gems, I think it could be hard to make black gems look any good. Not sure though, never seen them done. Personally, I think as long as you keep to the darker shades then purple gems would look better.
