Tech Thralls are on the link in one of my other threads, they look kinda like a mixture of humans and the Dark Eldar bike heads with the masks on.. Lots of good stuff here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/559843.page

I thought the stats of the tech thrall seemed more of a meat shield in comparision to what the enemy would be fielding in 30k.
You only have 3 x realistic AT weapons there surely?
I'm running thallax heavy lists with the odd castellax as a distraction. Photon thrusters and plasma fusil for AT and MEQ's
Overall i think you've done well on 1000pts though - 30k seems nigh on impossible to achieve a reasonable list with admech. I'd imagine it would do well in Zone mortalis when the next book comes along for the battle of phall based missions
Is the current magos figure a 'abeyant' mounted one? i cant see the purpose on the stat lines of not having one mounted at all.

He is mounted on an abeyant, yes, he's mainly there to support my main Castellax squad. The only problem I have with the Thallax is that they're very expensive to fit into 1000pts, and to make them viable I need to have 2 huge squads of them, and then I can't really fit in any AT weapons, aside from this, I think the Tech Thralls are insanely good at cracking tanks with their Heavy Chainswords, especially considering the fact they have rending, so if all else fails I can charge my Castellax into light infantry and use my Tech Thralls to crack tanks, it works both ways :3

i was just trying to envisage the likely opponents at this point level as some of the armys posted on B+C look pretty nasty with the salamanders (dreadnought HQ) and night lords lists at this level.
I would of thought the tanks you would see at the most are predators/vindicators for the cost effectiveness. Units of marines would be maxed for the fact they come cheaper by numbers so i suspect you would be gunned down pretty easily. Failing that dont the marines have higher initiative? I wouldnt expect much to survive if you got them hit by terror squads.
obviously this is theoretical and your practical application will most likely dictate otherwise.
i havent even got a 1k list yet, i know i'll end up running a cheap meatshield for filler in the end when i rock up my ZM list :(

I figured huge squads of marines are going to focus their fire onto the Castellax rather than the 30 Meatshields running up the field, and even if they do choose to focus on the meatshields, they get engaged in combat by 3 raging Castellax, something I don't think they'll leave for the rest of the game xD And, terror squads perhaps not, but regular space marine squads? I hit on 5s, sure, but I would on 2s and ignore armour with Heavy Chainblades ;P And they have Fearless, so no running.
