Well after I get my already massive Dark Angel army painted I am planning on going ravenwing, reason I want help is mainly because I really don't want to waste money on units that will end up sucking

My first thought to add in this list is a podded dread, but it kind of goes against this lists mobility, so my question is, what on earth do I add to the list to fill it out, more bikes, a few speeders, something different, any advice is wanted

Honestly....the power weapons and pf on the sgts are great in theory but I have never really found they mad that big of a difference. Banner of fortitude is great givesfnp for 6" but it makes your bikes bunch. If you want fnp go with the apothecary. If you are bringing a chaplain give him the mace of redemption, make him a nasty beatstick. Also run him in the squad with the champ to keep him out of challanges. Ravenwing banner is great especially on your cc monsters the knights.
If I were you I would drop all upgrades on rw sgts except mb. Add multi melta attack bikes for all squadsnd maybe speeders. Drop the standard of fortitude go with apothecaries instead. Bring the mace of redemption. Avoid the fliers. Also a darkshroud can be a wonderful thing for your knights.
That's if you want to keep the theme of rw only

That banner is a 12 inch FNP (at least according to my dex) So I was thinking it was better than apothecaries, and I like the mace of redemption. (I should have specified power Axes, they tend to work out pretty darn well for me)
EDIT: As for chaplain in with champion that was the plan actually

I am probably wrong then. For me though its too expensive
The attack bikes have for me always pulled through in a pinch. They have held las min objectives, kept shooty units in combat, even had one stay in combat 3 turns and kill 2 broadsides.

I prefer the dakka banner myself. Automatically Appended Next Post: IMO drop some stuff to nab a black knights squad. they are amazing, Also, you may instead thing about taking a libby w/ a power field generator for the +4 to all units within I think it was 3" and his buffs.

I find fortitude works better with black knights than a bunch of regular 2nd company dudes. Devastation is the go to banner if you are taking lots of troop squads. 4 shots, twin-linked, and relentless on the entire squad is no joke, I recently played a game where the Necron player only got to roll for reanimation protocols once in the entire game, because the devastation buffed RAS were just deleting entire units at 24 inches. As awesome as regular bikers can be though, I feel like the black knights are really your strongest unit and you should maximize them, three command squads and a fast attack squad, with a couple of night shrouds. Somebody once compared a black knight to a genestealer with a twin linked plasma gun on a motorcycle. They are brutal. they don't quit when they hit assault either- St 5, (usually a relative strength of 6 thanks to rad grenades) T 5, hammer of wrath and three rending attacks on the charge. This, mind, is against a unit that has probably had it's WS and I reduced as well. And taken 8 twin linked plasma blasts to the face. Ouch. Drop the chaplain, he won't take you over the top if you weren't going to get there already in an assault. I would pick up a librarian instead, with telepathy. He can really help against the big blob units that black knights just don't have the volume of fire to shift. Telepathy is great for shutting down tarpits and divination is less handy in an army where practically everything is twin linked. A lot of people rave about the PFG but I don't get it. I mean, everybody is grabbing 3+ or 2+ cover (or should be) on the way in, and anybody left standing after the plasma dance should get flattened before their iniative step anyway. I can only see if it if you do a lot of hiding in assault. I would really recommend a heavy rethink of the list. RAS are strong choices, but black knights are one of the best units in the entire game. With two full RAS you can make like, what, 6 scoring units? so you can still cover objectives with just your minimum troops while the knights rampage. Knights are actually pretty good against flyers too, with the twin linked 2 shot strength 7 ap2. EDIT-- they are also pretty cheap to make if you pick up the DV bikers and a couple of packs of plasma pistols off ebay. Easy conversion.

EDIT: I have like 30 plasmas in bits, and a few unused assault marines who could risk losing an arm

A few melta bombs and a bucket of Strength 5, rending attacks usually settles all the AV 14 you are gonna see, which isn't a lot. The only thing you would really have to sweat would be a redeemer, and I've never seen one of those while playing my ravenwing. I'm not great at math hammer but I know a crusader at greater than 12" can maybe drop 2 knights before all 240+ points of it get fried in assault. Even worse for a phobos- you'd be lucky to drop a single rider before going up in smoke. Keep in mind that when charging AV 14 every black knight is like 75% of an assault cannon firing at it. Most land raiders aren't cozy getting blasted by 8 or so assault cannons. I usually take a techmarine- and I wish that if he is going to be useless at fixing vehicles he should at least be good a breaking them in close combat, but so it goes. Edit actually I don't have my dex on me and I'm blanking but I'm thinking they get 4 attacks on the charge because they have a bolt pistol stashed somewhere, in case the rape talons run out of juice I guess.

I would consider dropping a few knights off the FA slots too get a night shroud. I think 7 knights is the sweet spot in terms of firepower. The extra guys are handy as they start dropping but more firepower is going to be headed at your command squads than at the fast attack ones. The night shroud is optional, just proxy a regular speeder for a few games and see if you feel like it makes up for the lost guys. I feel like it usually does. Other than that, real solid. Try what you have first and see if you want the stealth speeder. Personally, I like it, but I'm more risk averse. And you definitely can cut the grenade launchers down to 2 on the regular FA squads. Personally I usually don't take more than one per squad, but I guess a little redundancy is nice if you really need those rad shells in your meta. I wanted 1 attack bike per squad of RW attack squad but not sure where to get the points. Pretty similar list although I would recommend dropping down to one grenade launcher per squad. You really need as many talons as you can bring to the party. Rad is great and all but you either don't really need it (in the case of just blowing away tac dudes or whatever) or you really need it and you will be concentrating squads on the target anyway (like pallys or MCs) and there will be enough launchers even at one per squad. For your regular squads they are usually the last guy I take off, but in command squads they tend to bite it pretty early. I guess nothing is stopping you from putting it on the apoc or banner dude but I tend to spread the goodies out through the squad, shades of 5th edition. These are both good lists although I think Wardragons is a little stronger and Raiden's is a little more I guess conventional. I like the bigger BK squads in Dragons and I like the 'backup emergency melta squad' in Raidens
