A Chaos Rhino without skulls and spikes is like a flat-chested stripper. Sure, you'll still look, but it's totally not worth the price of admission.

Ok, so I've figured out a few things about all this.

1: The reason it took so long is because it was actual Chaos Space Marines left to "modify" their tanks, and they're pretty much lunk-heads with anything other than a bolter, power armor or a chainsword. This is because all of the Warpsmiths are too busy making daemon engines.

2: Time has no meaning in the warp. So what took the Spiked Ramz Machine Shop and Animal Husbandry a few days to slap together, didn't come out of the warp for more than a millenia, which confused a lot of people when the CSM went out on some excursion during the Heresy v. post-Heresy.

"What? There aren't any spikes yet? How is that possible! Ted just told us they came back with spikes yesterday! But you haven't seen them today? Alright, well thinks for the head." -lop-
