The Hoffman set art seems to have something off to the right. No way they're going to charge $50 for Hoffman, a Guardian, a Hunter, and a Watcher. That's more than their metal variants bought individually. At least the Leviticus set seems like great value compared to their metal variants.
Its the mechanical attendant (totem). So 1 large figure, 1 medium and 3 man sized. But still $50 for that is kind of weak compared to other boxes. In comparison, I got 3 50mm based beasts, a totem and 2 humans in the Marcus box.
I would assume Hoffman's box would include Ryle, henchman. Maybe the art isnt finalized?
I doubt miniature size comes into it. It would be quantity of sprue used. Dreamer was $50au, while Pandora was $40au. Pandora was on one sprue (from memory) which included 7 models, one was on a 50mm base. Dreamer had 8 models and one was on a 50mm base, but it was an entire second sprue with Chompy Bits.
Correct, but generally size plays into parts on the sprue. 5 figures is by FAR the lowest model count, and its safe to assume, part count. Granted, if Wyrd would stop doing fething irritating crap like making a 28mm figure's head 4 different pieces, it would help. However they clearly hate modelers and their sculptors are donkey-caves, so good luck on that...

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Not being into Malifaux, a newbish question; do the individual models, or derivatives of them, come out as single miniatures at some point, and if so how long does it usually take? I took one look at the big robot in the Of Metal and Flesh box and thought "Why hallo thar Dark Mechanicum Thallax...", but buying 9+ boxed sets for that one model isn't really practical.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal |

Depends. Usually it's just the basic minions. If you mean that robot with the shield, probably not.

Hold on, in the Leviticus art that's been out for a while there was an awesome monster thing that's not in the box... What is it, and will it be out separately?

That'd be a ton of minis in that box... 5 human-sized (there's another Waif now), 4 few small, and one XL would be pretty pricey unless they made the abominations really tiny.
Ramos is the closest, with 1 XL, 3 humans, and 6 tiny, so it might have been possible, but the desolation engine is a serious looking kit.

Dreamer is big as well. 5 human sized (Dreamer, 3 Alps, Copellius), 3 small (Daydreams) and 1 XL (Chompy). Though the Daydreams are really small. But the Chompy is humungous and takes a sprue himself.

I don't think they've posted an official November release list, but based off the below link I think it will be the following:
http://www.thewarstore.com/wyrdpreorders.html
Guild: Guard ~ NOV 14
Guild: Bound by Law (Lucius) BOX Set ~ NOV 14
Resurrectionists: Vengeful Spirits (Kirai) BOX Set ~ NOV 14
Resurrectionists: Mindless Zombie ~ NOV 14
Outcasts: Freikorpsmann ~ NOV 14

I see the Troll Trader are selling a new line of pretty cheap mdf terrain, some of which is suited for Malifaux. Considering that it's from "TTCombat" I have a sneaking suspicion that Troll Trader have just purchased themselves a laser cutter
While the buildings are pretty cool, I really like the smaller stuff such as the carriage and the market set.
Just do a search for TTCombat on fleabay.

Ok here's the Black Friday releases from AWP on facebook, may not be everything though
And here are the specials. This is where I'm really disappointed. I want the performer she looks like an amazing sculpt, but no way I'm able to drop 300 just to get that model. Hopefully ebay is gentle I guess :(

+1.
I feel those price points are too high for freebies. Said so in as reasonable a way as I could on Wyrd's forums, felt I got shouted down by fanboys. As much as I like Wyrd, that was rather frustrating.

So... the female multi-part kit makes an appearance. These were conspicuous by their absence during gencon which makes me wonder if they discretely fixed the scale issue after all.
Too bad about the $300 level for the performer, though. That's the only promotional mini I would be interested in. Shoot :(

My guess is the female kit will be just what the backers got in the KS,
a wee bit too big for those that are worried by scale (especially since they don't specifically say it's been changed)

Wyrd's forums are pretty much just an echo chamber. The female multipart mini sprues were obviously fethed up in terms of scale, and the mental gymnastics the fanboys went through to make Wyrd not at fault was astounding. Its not just that their scale is big, its also that their legs are disproportionately long. I fixed some of mine by removing the stupid extra leg section between the boots and pants cuff and gluing the boot directly onto the pants. I'm not sure what kind of weird highwaters the ladies were wearing. The male sprue is totally great though.

Seconding this, could I also add to the question when does it start (date and time), and what timezone is that time from? So I can try and figure out if I'll be ordering from work on my phone and neglecting my clients or if I can wait until I get home ha.

Like you and some others I am in the boat. Other then bound by law she is the only model I really want. I am going to see if I can try and get a group of people to order with me and just let them know that I want the performer model and everyone else can fight over the other three models.
