I've no use for it whatsoever and a painting backlog that'll last me years, but I very much like that War Rabbit.

Okay, I've decided I need the War Rabbit. To go with my Nightmare Whiskey Golem and keep him company until Brewmaster arrives. That's where my hobby money is going this week.

I'm hoping I can stretch to the War Rabbit. I don't even play Gremlins but I'm looking at Ten Thunders in the near future and I can use it with Brewmaster so...

I always find it annoying that it is so difficult to see pictures of Malifaux stuff - and not just the fact that is is really difficult to track down pics of actual miniatures, but renders too now, apparently!

And this thread is shamefully devoid of pictures too!

If you haven't seen it and are looking for mini pics, take a look at the blog Gmort's Chaotica; he has unboxings of pretty much every plastic kit that's out, both sprue and assembled:
http://gmortschaotica.blogspot.co.uk/p/unboxing-malifaux.html

Pretty much the best place for Malifaux stuff.

And here are photos of the War Wabbit:
Spoiler:

(spoilered cos ones huge)

It's $35 dollars. If you spend $100 you get the kneeling Kaeris, and $200 gets you the LE Performer. And you can get all the translucent and dayglo crews/models.

Dang it!!! That War Rabbit is *almost* enough to get me into Gremlins all buy itself! That's a *great* figure!

Well I'm assuming it's like their Black Friday sale, nothing's actually cheaper but you get to buy LE stuff and there's a couple of freebies at certain price points.

Well grabbed the War Wabbit, Nightmare Whiskey Golem and the Alt Perdita while I was there. Enough to push me into the $100 bracket.

I wanted the Lady J as well but decided that I will hang on. Hopefully stores will be getting a restock soon. Otherwise I would have been looking for something to push it to $200, not something I want with a couple of Kickstarters due to end and the AdMech stuff at the end of the week.

I was gonna get the War Wabbit, Whiskey Golem and something else but the postage to UK was like half the price again and I just can't afford it right now, which sucks cos I really want that war Wabbit.

I noticed that as well. Decided to take the risk on the lowest priced international delivery which was about $18-$20.

Probably won't arrive for 2-3 months but willing to wait for the War Wabbit, especially as I do play Gremlins.

I used their cheapest delivery option when I ordered on Black Friday and during Gencon, and both orders arrived in normal international times (about 2 weeks to Australia) after getting shipping confirmation. I used it again this time. The other international shipping types cost more than the model.

This time I just snagged the Wabbit. I wanted the Nightmare Hanging Tree but just didn't have the money.

Nah, I can't do it. Just can't justify £30 ish with delivery for one model that's not even my faction. Ah well, I'll have to remember to save some money for black Friday or GenCon weekend this year and get some goodies then.

The hanging tree's a nice piece and big enough that I understand the steep price, but you can only use one of the 3 models in most games, and another is basically just a display piece, and the third is just a duplicate of the first nearly.... and the one proxy model isn't even that great in-game so won't see a ton of use.

I think it's probably the worst value of any of the LE stuff I've gotten from them... think my favorites are the Dead Justice set (which effectively allows you to run a crew in one faction, or gives you the option of 10 different minions in another faction, with 4/5 sculpts being solid IMHO), miss Terious (just a nice sculpt) and the original nightmare teddy (the only teddy sculpt I like)

I'm in the exact same boat (of disappointment!) as you... It looks as though Gee Dubs and their Skitari win this round!

Thanks for the link!

Very nice!

But it is still odd that that's the place to go for pictures - why no Official source?

During the last set of metal models released, Wyrd had a lot of people complaining about the stylized paint jobs, about them being bad, not showing the minis well, etc.

I would guess that that, combined with how close the models are to their illustrations, are why Wyrd decided they didn't want to pay freelancers to paint their minis.

Welcome aboard! Wyrd still won haha, it's only cos I bought a load of malifaux a couple of weeks ago...

That's what I heard as well. Also that their renders on the box are what the model will look like once constructed, so they let the render speak for the model.

I bought the Nightmare Whiskey Golem during Gencon because it was awesome. I'm buying the War Wabbit because it's awesome. Limited edition miniatures don't always have to be bought because you collect the faction. Sometimes you just want to paint a rabbit leaping over easter eggs with a pair of Gremlins riding it and throwing up the horns.

Just got the tracking number for my Wabbit, after spending the weekend trying to assemble my Whiskey Golem (nearly there - so much to do!).

This week I'm considering picking up Ophelias crew, then Brewmaster when its out, to go with them.

Ophelia is a hell of a beat stick. Stick her next to Lenny for maximum tears!

Can't wait for Brewie either!

Brewmaster does look awesome, what's not to love about a gremlin ninja alcohol connoiseur? But is it just me or does his crew box look a bit sparse? There's only 6 gremlin size models in it.

There's no real large model that suits the crew bar the Whiskey Golem, and that's too big for a crew box.

Mancha Roja was mentioned, but he doesn't really 'fit'.

I'll be picking up the Golem anyways as I'm weak willed!

Mancha Roja has been mentioned for Wong, I assume that's where he'll be. It wasn't so much that there isn't a big model, but usually crews without a big model have more smaller models.

Brewie is more of a specialist, in the fact he doesn't fit with a lot of the stuff in his wave.

The box may end up a little cheaper, but I would put a small amount of cash on there being a bonus mini in that box...

Yeah it's not really an issue, I'm assuming they won't charge as much for it as like Dreamer or something, just seems quite small compared to recent ones (it feels like the first plastic crews which generally have less models in, and were the Ten Thunders ones which Brewmaster also is, maybe it's something to do with that?)

Brewmaster is $45us according to the release schedule, which IIRC is the mid range price bracket? Seems a bit high for 6 Gremlin sized models, but I can deal with it.

They could have definitely put the Whiskey Golem in there. it's smaller than the Nightmare Whiskey Golem which was a single frame model and is smaller than Lord Chompy Bits. I'm guessing they left it out so Brewmaster players had something else to buy, since there's not a whole lot that goes with his crews theme. They could put Bad Juju in with Zoraida because you've still got Waldgeists and other Swampfiends that fit her theme.

$45 for six figures seems okay for me.
