This has not been updated in quite a while- Does anyone want to post the rather large update in the Chronicles they just released? Has some cool gen-con stuff and an amazing Nightmare Collette crew set- Dark Carnival. I would do it but my computer kind of sucks at pdf stuff. Also some hints at what else is being released at Gencon- Jack's crew, Wongs crew, ect

Do not forget the Dark Carnival for Gencon, it is a proxy for Colette:

It does look stunning, Wyrd continue to produce plastic miniatures at the very highest level.

Oh wow. That's one of the creepiest crews they've put out in a while. Shame that it's so hard to get.

They usually have the Nighmare editions on sale in the webstore over Gencon, and then usually again in the Black Friday Sales.

Ah crap, I might actually have to swallow the shipping and taxes to get that one, it looks so damn awesome.

I think I might order that, and Jack Daw, during GenCon. Shipping's gonna be a killer.

I'll be grabbing Dark Carnival and Colette. I know they're actually the same, but I love the Colette renders, but that Dark Carnival set...

Though I assume plenty of other stuff will be available. Maybe this time I'll log in to the sale in time to grab Miss Terious and Alt Perdita.

That Dark Carnival Carnival set is awesome! Do these alt sets ever get general release? I like it, but postage/no discount is probably going to be a bit expensive for me.

No, Nightmare sets are only available during sales or at, IIRC, Gencon. And after the first sale they're part of, their availability is strictly limited to what Wyrd produce for that particular sale usually at low quantities, so after the first sale they're kinda hard to get a hold of. They never go on general sale. The general rule with Nightmare kits is grab them when you can.

Personally, I've been after alternate Perdita and Miss Terious for a while, but they're always sold out when I get online.

Looking at the trend and assuming a reasonably high volume required to make up for the work going in to a plastic crew, I'm expecting you'll see them as exclusives for a couple years at least, during events and sales.

The only thing I want is the alt Wastrel. So then I can have a list with 4 of them and just swagger up and down the board while my opponent looks in disbelief at my cunning plan!
Pity they are not going to sell her, at least for now at any rate. I image she will become available later on.

I'm hoping the Nightmare Hanging Trees will be available again. I always mean to grab them but never do. Hanging Trees, Dark Carnival and Colette should push me over $200 for whatever the $200 reward is, if any.

Well this is going to get expensive. With collette, dark carnival and (hopefully) Wongs crew plus anything else to get the usual extra's. It's going to be expensive + 20% when the tax man wants his cut..

Would we have to pay VAT on top of the price and shipping then?

It's from outside of the EU, so unless the Uk has different rules form the Netherlands, then yes, you have chance to be hit with vat and customs duties sadly enough. That's the reason I up till now haven't ordered from the wyrd store itself for the nightmare/limited models. This one look sso good though (and I'm sitting on a wad of cash after selliong my Eldar) that I might actually just go ahead and give it a go.

Shipping's gonna be bad enough anyway, depending on the price I dunno if I'll be able to afford it really.

A few more Gencon models, (The pictures are massive, if people would prefer them spoilered just ask)

The Miss model is an alternate Wastrel (McCabe Crew)

4 Riders: (these will get a standard release some time post Gencon)

And the Effegies (again a later standard release)

Unfortunately if you get hit by customs it's 20% of the value of the order plus an £8 handling charge. I've been hit a couple of times on Kingdom Death but all my Malifaux stuff has escaped so far.

How do they actually charge you for that? Do you have to pay when you collect the parcel, or? I've never really ordered from abroad (mainly to avoid things like this haha).

I'mt hinking it depends on the mood of the person dealing with your package . I've had letters sent to me requesting information and a bill appearing before the package, I've had to pay the delivery person the money, I've gotten bills after I've received the package some weeks before. Ofcourse I've also had packages slip under the radar without having to pay anything. So I guess your mileage may vary

What a weird system. I'll see how much the order is and how much the tax might be if I get charged it and see if I can afford it I guess.

\Well, you can always see if you can piggyback with someone else ordering from them during gencon, would at the least cut down on shipping costs.

Yeah, but then there's the hassle of 'who gets whichever exclusive models there are for the order size' haha.

In the UK they send you something similar to those "I was five minutes from the end of my shift so I knocked once as quietly as I could then sprinted away from your door...erm, I mean you were out sorry we missed you..." cards except these ones demand you pay them money before they'll deliver.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

It's a while since I paid one, but I think you log in online (or phone) and pay the £8 then they'll try and deliver.

@Yodhrin: my wife was sitting at home on Wednesday when the status on an Amazon Prime delivery changed to "delivered to resident".......yeah. 2 days later it actually got delivered.

Already pre-ordered the Pale Rider and will order the Brutal Effigy once the GenCon stuff goes live. I really, really like that Wastrel Miss model. I have absolutely no use for 4 Wastrels, but I can't pass her up.
