I was thinking of doing a very large children's army, what codex could I use?
Do I have to use chaos? Or could I use SM?
Thank you.

I see no reason to use the SM codex. The CSM codex has plenty of stuff that will suit you.

You should use this one. Of course your friends may not want to play against it.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Actually, I think that they've got some updated rules in Book 2 that make them more dangerous and allows their noisey guns to start firing. Anyone can confirm this actually? Don't want to lead him astray, but I think that they start going evil in Book 2.

They do. I just haven't had a chance to look through it for the most part.

You could play them out of the SM book for competive play, or csm for fluff i guess.

SM book, just pick a chapter tactic and run with it. That palatine blades squad from FW does look delicious...

Either CSM or CSM with the Black Legion supplement, either way you can field Lucius (who is a challenge monster) and Noise Marines as troops if your lord has the MoS. I recomend the Black Legion supplement cause it has some nasty stuff in it like a +1 I Deamon Sword and an artifact that grants EW. And I highly recommend taking a Soc with the MoS to get the +1 S for Sonic Weapons power, makes one unit of your choice disapear quickly. And you can take a nasty Sorc only artifact, you will love it when you read what it does.

Are you thinking post Hersey? Do you plan on taking Allies? Do you want to run things like the helldrake and the defiler or would you be more interested in the land raider varients and the storm raven? How forgiving are the people you would play with for countas as models? Can you usea dark angels jet fighter in place of a hell drake for example?

Pretty much. without un-EC heldrakes, CSM isnt going to win you many games.

I don't know, those Blastmasters are very devastating anti-MEQ level weapons.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.
