ive been trying to run a competitive deathwing list for a while now with no joy. so i have decided to try something else

azrael

command squad w/ standard of devastation

landraider crusader

ravenwing attack squad (3) w/ plasma gun

deathwing squad (5) w/ th+ss and plasma cannon

tactical squad (5) w/ lascannon and lascannon razorback

tactical squad (5) w/ lascannon and lascannon razorback

tactical squad (5) w/ lascannon and lascannon razorback

total: 1460

ill use the spare points for upgrades to the tac sergeants.

im thinking to house the command squad in the landraider to increase the standards bubble and use the ravenwing and deathwing to distract attention awayfrom the tac squads

is the anyway i could improve this list?

3 land raiders with hurrican bolters as heavy support, put as many msu scouts or marines into land raiders. Drop all bikes and termi unless termi are getting more land raiders as dedicated transports.

Azzy is kind of a spork isn't he,
he does both but not as good as either.
He can't turbo he can't deepstrike and the 4+ invuln is wasted on small squads.
I think you have made a decent list but at 1500, 3 land raiders is half the army so i wouldnt advise it.

IF allies is an option stick him with a 50 guard squad to give em the invuln mwahaha but i don't think you'd have 50 guard just lying around, if you do great!

If you wanna keep azzy you done well! all i would suggest is dropping razorback to rhinos and getting a squad of BK for vehicle/heavy armor/mc hunting

i do have the 50 ig, but dont have the codex.

i like the look of your ravenwing list but dont have enough bikes to run it, i always preferred deathwing.

no, if I recall correctly that was only the PFG, standards still radiate our from the hull.
