I'm not contradicting myself you just seem to have a lack of understanding of the english language or in this case the word 'suggestion'

So let me clarify that for you using the merriam-webster dictionary

Suggestion = an idea about what someone should do or how someone should behave

Review = an act of carefully looking at or examining the quality or condition of something or someone : examination or inspection

Please read those 2 things carefully. And acknowledge that there's a big difference, then read the very first couple lines of the thread and realize that i specifically said NO SUGGESTIONS! Only rates and review/comments.

In other words I don't want to be told 'what to do' im interested in you analyzing what I did. It's 2 very different things don't get them twisted.

EDIT: I realize that i wrote this heading a bit different than the others, since this was amongst the first army lists i posted with this rating thing. But the concept is still the same

Evaluation = to judge the value or condition of (someone or something) in a careful and thoughtful way

Advice = : an opinion or suggestion about what someone should do

See how it's the exact same thing as the earlier example? There's been several others that understood the difference and replied accordingly. There is no contradictions here, some of you simply don't read threads that you respond to because you are too eager to "suggest" things

This is what I was looking at in your first post, has nothing to do with the definition of rating vs suggestions. Change this which is what the thread is centered around. I wasn't trying to be offensive, and I'm hoping you were trying to be logical too.

you have advice=suggestion/opinion which is on both sides. Just change that sentence and you're golden

Huh did you not see the period there??

You even quoted me like 2 mins ago

Note: Not interested in list editing/advicing. Just opinions and evalutations (rating) on strengths and weaknesses

not interested in list editing or advice...PERIOD
-new sentence-
just opinions and evalutations.

What is the confusion? This is proper english.

Thus advice = suggestions i'm not interested in those.

evaluations = review (this is what i'm looking for)

how is that not clear in my first post?

The word opinion is not on there twice what the hell are you even reading man??

Advice is an opinion or suggestion about what someone should do.

The last 4 words of that, is the key part.

an evaluation is also an opinion, but judge the value or condition of something.

See the difference? Or are you just trying to rules-lawyer your wait out of admitting that you are simply wrong here and im not contradicting myself as you previously suggested.

This is like arguing Cars vs Motorcycles.

I say i want a car, and do not want any motorcycles and you want to convince me that I did infact want a motorcycyle because cars and motorcycles are vehicles.

So let's just leave it at that, I feel that i've been pretty specific if some people can't follow directions i'll just have to bare with it. There's clearly some that have been perfectly able to offer their evaluations and reviews.

We don't see things eye to eye, I agree, let's leave it at that. Good luck, hope you have fun with your themed list- like to hear if you have any crazy/chaotic things happen!

You just can't take critism, suggestions can be good or bad, you just get praise and to be honest with a list like this is is unlikely that you will

You can only rate a list with a sense of relativity to what a good list is, i.e. by comparing it with alternatives and justifying your opinion.

Otherwise posting on here is redundant.

The point of this sub-forum is to get feedback from other people. You don't post on here, ask for evals, then get pissy when people do just that. You want an eval? here you go:

You have no transports. If you were playing against me, my grav-guns and lascannons would blow your terminators out of the water in a turn.

Chosen are too expensive and again too immobile. Unless you somehow plan on steamrolling my army, I wouldn't let them live past turn three.

You have two heldrakes. These are the only things in the list that are competitive, yet they still would fall to my Quad-gun w/ Tank Hunter.

You are WAY too immobile. This is not an edition of "walk across the table to a gunline and assult them," this is an edition of "shoot them or get to them quick."

The list: C-
Taking Abaddon seems cool until you realize that he's a beast in CC. Not in walking across the table.

You: F
check your attitude at the door. It isn't welcome here. It doesn't matter what you put in the OP. You are either polite, or you're not, and you are not.

This is my response to all that commentary you guys made.

The Forum Rules - Please read the sticky thread at the heading of this forum if you don't understand why i'm responding like this

A quick clarification about the purpose of the Army Lists forum:

This is a place to post your list so that other people can give you feedback on it. By default, the sort of responses most people are looking for are ways to improve the list and make it function better in a competitive environment, so if not otherwise specified, thats the kind of feedback which should be expected.

If the original poster wants, however, they can put some restrictions on the kind of suggestions folks should offer. They can, for example, specify particular units they really want to use, or list the models they own and ask people to restrict their suggestions to ones which use those models, or (e.g.) those models plus one or two more units, if they're on a budget and can't buy a bunch of new items at the moment. Or maybe ask for help constructing a whole army within a certain total budget.

The original poster can also ask for other types of feedback. Such as asking how well a list fits a particular theme, or a Composition scoring guideline, or whether it would be good against a particular enemy army.

In all cases the person posting the list has a responsibility to be clear about what they're asking for if it's anything other than pure competitive feedback. And responding posters have a responsibility to be respectful and attentive to such specifications. Posts which ignore such requests and specificartions will generally be considered off topic and may be deleted or otherwise incur other moderator censure.

So let me sum that up for you guys. You Are Breaking The Rules

1. Tyranids - 15,000 pts
2. Chaos Space Marines - 7,100 pts
3. Space Marines - 6,000 pts

The ironic thing is, that up until this point you had done EXACTLY as he asked? Not quite sure what you're angry about?
