Also with the demon of tzeentch rule, they could be grimoired by an allied demon hq...

is a 2++ enough for holding objectives?

Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.

sure, but there is a good chance that will backfire, and is it really worth allying daemons in order to get this and then keeping a herald nearby by at all times?

I don't think that the sons should need boosts from other codecies to be good, they should be able to stand on their own

1)Yes its worth allying in demons for grimoireness - I grimoired 15 possessed over the course of a game. At the end of the game, they were almost all I had left
2)I completely agree, they should be good enough to stand on their own. My post wasn't meant to be 100% serious...

Daemon of Tzeentch/Twist of Fate seems like a mistake to me.
People underestimate the 3++ save. its STRONG. especially in these says where low AP cover ignoring shots are easy enough to get.
Just the gun boosts as written by Selym would be enough to give them the edge over most units, after all assault 2 means they get to shoot twice as much against most bolter carriers at range, and unlike their target, they will also bypass armor.

They end up with a 4++, not 3++. My example replaces the Mark with the Daemon rule, not adding to it. The Twist of Fate rule is there to bring back the 4++, since it cannot be obtained by wargear, and it seems that you cannot naturally have both the mark and be daemonic.

You can be Daemonic and have a mark, Warp Talons, Mutilators, Oblits and Possessed both do it fine. The problem is being a Daemon of Tzeench and having Mark of Tzeench
