Hi, im looking to build the most competititive list i can, my two armies are ba and imperial guard, so im looking for some help. i have a lot of units, and those i dont i can buy for christmas. so any suggestion is valid.

heres what im currently looking at but feel free to tear this apart to make it better!

ps. i have never played gaurd, and guessed the selections by random. lol. and the purpose of this list is to make use of the imp as blob obj holders or something and ba as hard hitting, anyways, thanks in advance for the help!

BA-Primary

librarian with jump pack

2 sang priests with a power sword each

2 ten man assault marine squads, power fist, 2 meltas in each

Guard:

command squad:
2 bodyguards,carapace armor
commander bolt pistol and power weapon
medi pack
2x melta gun
regimental standard

infantry platoon
2x nade launcher and lascannon squads, bolt pistol ccw for the sarges

platoon command squad:
commissar bolt pistol and power sword
4x meltagun
pc bolt pistol power weapon

2 vendettas with lascannons and bolter sponsons

if you really, REALLY want a competitive list? drop all the BA and just go pure guard. I have tried many things, but against a lot of competitive lists, BA just don't work well. way to expensive units for CC where CC is already a bit gimped. Sorry.

well then, my true BA battle brother! I suggest giving your sang priests power fists. (they are WS 5) and the Sgts the power sword

you have plenty of melta besides. assault squads need anti horde in case you fight hordes. (melta or flamer, depending on what you kit out your squad with)

iy would be easier to read if you went through and typed out what type of squads you have in your infantry platoons.
