Im planning to bring marines superiority on the table this sunday. I got tons of tau eldar players in my gaming group. one dude bringing 2 wraithknights and another bringing 3 riptides. Ill be proxying those gravguns with plasma guns.

Evreybody hides behind ADL.
Commander joins Broadside behind ADL. thunderfire cannon improves +1 cover for ADL.
Bike moves up turn 1 shoots out 6 grav gun + 3 combi grav (salvo 2/3) + prescience from librarian.
attackbike multimelta is for Look out sir wound allocation and to take out waveserpents/tanks.

weakness: helldrakes, flyers. But, thats what the commander+adl quadgun is for.

i was thinking about auspex for -1 cover.

Sniper Drones are good for MC duty as well.

Tech marines can only fortify NON fortification terrain. So only terrain that is placed on the board. Not fortifications you can buy ie adl or sky pad etc.

Also I think you could drop the numbers of each bike squad down to fit another in with gravs?

As already mentioned unfortunately you can't bolster ADL/Bastions and the like..

I will certainly limit the number of models in the bikes units to max out the number of special weapons and in the same time having more units.

IE, with almost the same amount of pts you're actually investing you'll may have:

4 units with each 4 bikers, 2 grav-guns + 1 combi-grav and 1 MM attack bike. Tot. 716 pts

Otherwise, 5 units with 5 bikers, 2x grav-guns and a combi-grav each. 725 pts

Or eve, adding some pts, 6 units of 5 bikers with just 2 Grav-guns each. 810 pts

Besides, I will take a TH on the CM, for 5 pts it's just so better than a PF..

And, finally, I wouldn't take a librarian that can't have prescence. What power charts your looking for? Telepaty?

Actually, I might just do that. I really want to maximize firepower on this one. more grav means more kill.

Both divination and telepathy is good. I really want both lol. But if i have to choose. Ill take prescience.

I think the broadside squad will do much more damage if the commander takes support upgrades instead of shooting(ignore cover is just too much) also consider taking missile drones instead, there's a reason they are only available for broadsides.

I just realize SM librarian cant take divination. how am i suppose to reroll lol. unless for tigurius of coz.

you mean taking "drone controller"? I got bad experience on pie plates blast weapons. My missile drones always got creamed whenever it is out in the open. I just add 2 shield drones for anti grav weapons. so its 4+ to wound kind of thing.
Btw, I could only choose 2 support systems. Id rather take EWO and VT.

By upgrading my commander to 2+ armor i think the squad survives better with wound allocation and all. The commander will try to soak as much damage before assigning it to each broadsides.

i change my mind. Im taking your word for it. I think its a much more powerful unit this way
