Well i ve build a traitor guard army using the ig codex. i ve converted fully ig characters from the dex and now with inquisition rules i thought that i could add some fallen/turned inquisitors to my force.
How do you find the idea? Is it fluffy? Is it legal? Do you think that i ll have problem with other players apart from friends?

Of course its legal, your not changing any rules. Of course its fluffy, have inquisitors not fallen in the past? Of course no one would have a problem, why would your army theme effect someone else as long as it doesn't change any rules. If there absolutely no option for fallen inquisitors, why do you have access to daemom blades?

I would say its ok, if, you you sticking to the codexes proper. Other than that, its just a matter of asthetics from what I gather from you.

I would absolutely back your idea. Half, if not most, of the fun of 40K is using the stock rules and adding your own aesthetics to make a force your own. Especially when that force fits well with the fluff.

In the past I have done similar things, like using the Dark Angels Deathwing rules to represent a Blood Angels 1st Company in Terminator armor.

It is fluffy AND cool, and due to the FOC, you could even bring a CSM army if you wanted too (as chaos and guard can ally)

Certain inquisitorial philosophies allow for that to happen - Xanthites have links to Chaos Cults, and seek to use Chaos for their own gain. Recongregators may take them for harmless revolutionaries. And Isstvaanians may foster them just to put Imperial defences to the test.

Sorry but i do not understand. How can you possibly do that?
I know that IG and CSM are allies of convenience, but how do you fit in the rules the fallen inquisitors?

I actually had the same idea. I've been putting together a chaos IG army but when I learned about the inquisition codex, I knew I had to have a "Dark Bishop" for my Word Bearer allies. either as a fallen inquisitor or a super cult leader, it is absolutely fluffy and awesome. My chaos Guard will bring the Word to all.

While they are singing "what a friend we have in the greater good", we are bringing the pain!

So how to kite out one or two fallen inquisitors for renegade guard? i guess that malleus are the most easy to "fall".
Any ideas?

Well there is nothing on the rules about conflicting allies matrix. At this stage both chaos can ally with IG and INQ can ally with IG. About as simple as that, until FAQ'd

Ok that is nice. As for building the models by equipping them, how would you build two fallen for an ig renegades army?
Looking for ideas in order to start finding the bits..

The idea of an Inquisitor falling to Chaos seems pretty legit, considering even the most minor exposure to the warp and daemons can cause people to fall.

Yes the idea works fine, you can take two IQ guys and something like 36 daemonhosts very easily.

Having your IG allied to CSM (or Daemons) and the Inquisition at the same time is theorethically possible, but I expect it to be FAQ'd away in the near future :-/

I'm planning on allying some Inquisition to my IG+Daemons using the Dark Apostle model as an inquisitor and lots of gribblies for his retinue.
There should always be some sort of interceding group between daemons and IG that allies them together, you don't really have anyone in the IG ranks capable of summoning daemons reliably. Fallen inquisitors make a lot more sense as a way for traitors to bolster their ranks with chaos.

Damn cool idea man, Inquizzy + Daemons is awesome stuff

So allied detachments can take Inquisitors? Or are you running IG as the main?

Allying them to IG, they can't ally with daemons.

Though how the inquisition works with the allies of their allies does need some clarification. Do they have to make One Eye Open rolls if near their battle brother's allies who they're a desperate ally with? Is there any roll for being near Come The Apocalypse allies? Or are they just ignored because they technically aren't allied in any way with their allies' allies?

The inquisitor would treat the primary as battle brothers and the ally detachment as desperate in that case, along with all the rules that come with desperate allies.

Since you cannot ally with "come the apocalypse" allies it would be highly unlikely that you could include a combination in which one is come the apocalypse.

Though there is a YMDC thread on this.
