I can't be the only one who thinks "My, Space Marines sure have a sh!t ton of vehicles with an impossible load out of firepower". I mean, that tiny stormtalon doesn't even have space for ammo! The assault cannons should fire ONE BURST and then be empty. It's an engine, some wings that couldn't possibly hold it in the air, a cockpit, and some guns that look taped on. It's ridiculous.

I swear, if the Orks don't end up with a nuclear bomb with a driver's compartment, I'm going to be really pissed.

What are your thoughts?

Besides, Orks have plenty of guns.

Nearly all of 40K is ridiculous.

They use void-safes as ammo-hoppers. In one two-by-two-two box, you can store eleventy million cubic feet of matter. They just stick the feeder mechanism into the void safe, and link in ninety quinbillzillion rounds that are stored in the safe. That way, the Imperium can always bring more dakka.

This is why I prefer tau - their units use largely energy based weapons so you have compact battery packs/power plants.

This has to do with orks because they have been so nerfed with this new edition. It used to be orks had all the gunz. The vehicles were covered in dakka. And a million types at that. I don't mind not hitting anything, but I want a vehicle with a Heavy 20 gun or a strength 1 million zzap gun or twinlinked everything. At this rate, with what's coming out for space marines and tau, regular orks will all need to be armed with giga-shootas just to keep up. I want to come to my games with BUCKETS of dice. Like contractor buckets. 20 gallon buckets. If I get anything less I'll know the game is rigged to make space marines win all the time.

Perhaps this is not so much about orks as a rant against all the attention that space marines get. It's meaningfully disproportionate.

Dakka is just pastime until you can start chopping.

Getting a functional close combat army beats more dakka on vehicles for me.
