Yeah those grav guns and cents are brutal. I definitely underestimated them myself.

I have to say I'm definitely reconsidering grav cents after reading these reports, I had previously written them off since they wouldn't benefit from my chapter tactics (salamanders), but they aren't benefiting much from yours either and are still giving a strong showing

The grav cents are normally in MVP contention when I play them. The sheer amounts of firepower they put is awesome and they don't need a chapter tactic boost to be good. People underestimate them because of the seemingly low range they bring, but with the ability to move and shoot they project a 30" grav bubble (the same as a grav gun biker), but with more shots and the ability to reroll wounds/vehicle damage results. They also tend to draw a lot of fire off other units and when used in terrain, are suprisingly more resilient than people credit them.

Hey! I know Brandon Vallee. He was my teammate at the ATC, though at that time, he brought Taudar. He's a very good player (though we haven't actually played against each other before) and was an alternate for Team USA for the ETC at one point. Rough game #5. You almost had it. Sometimes, don't you just wish the game would end on 5? That would have given me a few extra wins, especially one of my losses at the ATC.

Yup. Extremely good player and if you have to lose, might as well lose to an acknowledged top-tier player. Brandon's keep the game going luck would actually bite him on table 1 in the final round. Alan won primary and secondary with only a single scoring model left on the table. If the game had gone past five there, Brandon would have killed the last scoring trooper and forced a draw and completely altered the final standing.

Finally complete with all six games! Enjoy!

@hyv3mynd Thanks for the offer of the pics, but I decided to keep with my easy format so far. Looking forward to seeing your perspective on our fight.

Fun reads . Where did you end up in the ranks?

20th overall. The loss to Brandon and some soft scores cost me quite a bit of ground. Its hard to get good display board grades when you fly.

How is the scoring here done. I see 32-1 type scores ?

Primaries were worth 20 secondaries 10 and linebreaker, first blood, and warlord 1 each for 33 possible each round.

Good write-ups, Mike. Glad we got to meet and play there at the end. Your army is incredibly tough and you play it well, better than I played that game. If you would have passed that one morale test or a shorter fall-back, I would have been tabled at the end of 7.

Hope you and your wife can make it again next year. I had a blast and my wife is all about doing it again. Good luck in future events, you're a really solid player.

Great reports, lots of insight and inspiration as I start to build up my own Space Marine bike force.
