So ws ct says we get +1 s to how attacks. Who has these attacks? I can't find a unit with this special rule in the sm codex.

You need to look at the unit types in the BRB, not the codex. Several types of units have HoW by virtue of being that unit type.

If a model gas preferred enemy or rending as special rules that don't come from weapons (eg necron wraiths joined by a destroyer lord), do they work on HoW attacks?

As Rending and preferred enemy require a roll to hit and HoW does not it would not be affected. Simply do what HoW says.

HoW alos state it does not benefit from any special rules, and this was clarified in a FAQ to mean from any source, such as rending claws

Not to derail my own statements but .. it states no such thing in my copy of the rules. Unless by this you mean "unmodified strength". That would be the only statement about other benefits on HoW.

Except as it gives a statline it cannot benefit from other rules of weapons, however there IS an FAQ covering the benefits that the model may have, e.g. TWC "have" rending, but their HoW does NOT.
Page 5, right hand side, 3rd question up from the bottom.

Yes, but he asked specifically about those rules not coming from weapons;
If a model gas preferred enemy or rending as special rules that don't come from weapons (eg necron wraiths joined by a destroyer lord),
(and yes, I saw the FAQ. Yet another FAQ (of many) that seems to stem from an inability to read rules, as the HoW rule seems quite simple, even in combination with other abilities)

I played someone recently who was playing with Khan who has furious charge and the white scars chapter tactic. He said on the charge he is strength 6 with his HoW hit, is that correct?

another questions while this thread is here. FC (+1 str base on the charge) does this effect the HoW str attack?

No. That would be modifying the strength of the attack, something that HoW explicitly forbids.
