...sucks! Anybody else try it? After letting it dry overnight, it rubs off waaay to easily. I don't see the point in using this unless you're only doing a model for display. Anyone here have luck with keeping this paint from chipping off easily?

You're probably putting too much on. I've had no problems with it flaking off. it's hard to get the right amount on, too much and it will flake off, too little and it won't work.

Out of all the new paints they released, I can say it is the only one that is special... the others can be done easily through mixing/diluting etc.

Gathering the Informations.

There has been talk of a "bad batch" which is not working properly, so take that into consideration.

Like any other basing it requires a seal to secure it.

Maybe I just put too much on. I watched a demo of it from GW on YouTube, and they did mention you need it not too thick, but not too thin. I painted it on a flyer base, so that's a lot of surface area. I guess I'll just put sand on it and make it a normal base. I agree, this technical paint is pretty wonky compared to the others. Thanks for the tips.

Use a matte varnish, spray or paint on. Unless you want shiny then use a glossy varnish

If it's on a flyer base then it would also need sanding with course sanding paper and a coat of primer for the paint to stick to. Painting to a glossy smooth surface is asking for trouble.

This has nothing to do with that. The whole point of the paint is that it creates flakes. In order to do that it needs to pull slightly away from the surface it's painted on. This means that it can flake off if you, for example, drybrush on it vigorously. This is mentioned in the official video from GW.

Even applied as thin as possible you can have flakes come off if you drybrush too much. I experimented with this last night quite a bit. The effects is great, but you need to be careful with it.

What did you paint it over?

Hopefully he had the base at least primed. Otherwise when it cracks you're going to see the clear base underneath.

The base was primed, and then painted with a dark brown color (Mournfang Brown, I think..) I then painted Agrellan Earth over that once it had dried. I've applied a matte varnish, but I have a feeling after a few games and transporting it around, the chippings will flake off.... Maybe I'll just use this paint for showpieces

I've not experienced any of it coming off yet. It's pretty solid on mine. It feels like you're laying it on too thick?

Mine works fine, and even with a bit of scratching it does not come off... and I haven't put a layer of glue on yet...
