The 3 human Chaos gods of Khorne, Tzeentch, and Nurgle did not get born at their current great levels of power. It is an error people consistently make, assuming that one can only be a Chaos god by being as powerful as they are now. As given in the Realms of Chaos, the Emperor pre-dated all the Chaos gods and tried to stop their awakening. Khorne awoke first, followed by Tzeentch as society grew more complex and filled with intrigue and then Nurgle, possibly associated with the Black Death. It is stated that all 3 were born and awake by the end of the Middle Ages.

They would have been the gods of a small backwards race and they would have been weak minor gods. However as humanity grew in population and spread across the galaxy, they would have grown in turn. Slaanesh is different because Slaanesh exploded onto the scene at full power.

One can think of the difference as 3 people working hard over a lifetime for their fortunes, gradually building themselves up, and then 1 person winning a massive lottery prize and becoming suddenly a peer of the 3 other tycoons.

It'd be a fusion of the 4 already there. Slaanesh i9s not an "Eldar specific" god, just created because the Eldar were able to reach the levels of emotion required to create It.

Khorne, Nurgle and Tzeentch are all create by the various emotions of Mankind, Necrontyr and the other races before Mankind, and they all conriute to Slaanesh too.

I think this may be more of a Freudian slip, however, I also know I stand alone quiet often about many things so perhaps I'm just the odd one out.

Our species has some serious problems. Far worse than what 40k shows us, I'm sure. And in that vein, the Devils of our reality are probably worse than anything our imaginations could have created. Especially with Greed and Glut being two prominent infections plaguing our species spiritual centers.

This brings me to another thought, which I'll make another thread out of elsewhere in an appropriate place, with links and all that:

If you didn't "have/must" work, what would you do instead? That means, everything taken care of, you "can" work, but you don't have to. And you get the best of everything. What would you do?

Most people I ask this question are so dumbfounded that the question itself confuses them because they never thought about it before or what that kind of environment would even mean. So then I give my answer: What would I do? I would travel the world, sharing stories between cities and towns, trading rare trinkets as I go and eventually opening a shop of sorts for that exact thing. Considering technology is finally where it should be at this point, my shop would be on a flying island that'd I'd float around the world on and anchor when I came to town. And we could do that now, if it weren't for x, y, and z getting in the way and the ignorant's fear of themselves.

Sorry for the detraction. Dunno how I got on that tangent, but like I said, I'll start a new thread and everything for it anyways.

Oh, and how do you get to do something like that in todays environment? Well first off: Why do people work? To survive and pay bills, unfortunately. But if you could eliminate your bills, where would that money go instead? And this is all do-able. I'm doing it now actually. lol Is it hard? Absolutely. But then so are the obstacles in my way, starting first and foremost with peoples dis-belief.

I'd like to think id be a doctor or a charity worker or something. But in reality I'd probably just spend my time in bed reading a good book. Of course if I still got paid i think my army would get substantially bigger.

If, one day, humanity were to spawn a Chaos God in the fashion of the Eldar, I'm pretty sure we'd just spawn a celestial version of TFG.

Mankind's god would be miss sold PPI

I think it would be a god of pride, or a sort of Lucifer-esque, lightbringer, morning star figure. It would be born of all the collective willfull ignorance of mankind, and fueled by the deaths of thousands of Psykers a day. It would be created if the Emperor finally experienced true death and his soul was fought over by the Chaos gods.

Since the "official" story will never be written (It's a setting not a ...snore) that's basically my head cannon of what happens. Too many innocent souls burned in the choir, exterminatus-ed(?) worlds and the collective anti-thought of trillions birth a personification of unreasoning zealotry. Since this god looks talks and acts just like the Ecclesiarchy expect a reborn Emperor to, there is much rejoicing as humanity is led into the second great crusade against Abaddon and the filthy xenos!

Meanwhile since the emperor is an eternal or whatever, he pops back into existence with almost all of his of his power gone, and gets to watch Malal running around in his old body leading humanity into one Pyrrhic victory after another, knowing that nobody, nobody in the entire universe will believe him.

That would be a grim twist of fate for the Emperor. He watches his faithful lead a crusade to eliminate the xenos, the heretics, and take the fight to the 4 older gods of Chaos themselves all at the behest of this new zealous Chaos god whose true intentions are to be the sole god in the galaxy. Then his reborn self is declared a heretic and he is hunted down and imprisoned.

The Eldar are currently trying to create Ynnead. And they are trying to prevent mankind from falling in the same manner as they did apparently. Can't remember where this piece of fluff comes from though.
