So I was drilling out some parts on my models with a new drill head, when I noticed that the plastic always melted to the head in a cone/spike shape, and was as tough as a molded piece after 10 seconds of cooling. I took pictures of what it looked like, and next to one of my marines for scale. The size of the spike is adjustable, all you need to do to change it is drill deeper/shallower into the plastic! And best of all, you already have the plastic you need. Sprues are perfect for this.
Here is a link to the dremel head I used for this:

and here is the results. Again the spikes are as hard as any piece made by
gw, and adjustable to any size up to the size of the drill head. Assuming you had a big enough piece of sprue to drill through.
Also the spikes are hollow, so you can use them to cap things like spears, I am going to fix some of my models that spikes are missing from, and give every one of my orks spikes on his shoulder pads!
Each one took about 20 seconds, 10 to drill and 10 to cool. Its super easy and fast. All I have to do to make it even sharper of a point is trim the head with my exacto knife.
Wasent sure where to post this, so I put it here and in tutorials.
