Tigurius. He taps into the Hive Mind. That's like, on par with crap we see from the Big E, or Malcador the Sigilite.

Why the Red Scorpion psyker of course! (he wears a helmet which automatically means he has a less likely chance of dying) Anywas, I think it comes down to Mephiston and Tigurius. On the one hand, Mephiston is a monster on the battlefield capable of ripping apart foes and flying around like a angel of death. On the other hand... you have a man that is claimed to have broken into the friggin hive mind. i think it really comes down to what exactly are you looking for? If you mean 1v1 match then Mephiston wins out by qutie a bit..... but if we are talking about more in terms of leadership, planning, tatical preperations and the sorts the win goes to Tig.

Pure CC power: Meph

Psychic ability: Tiggy.

In game: Meph destroys Tiggy like a gnat before moving on to Eizekel and tearing him in half. Tiggy is probably more useful to an army (as is Sevrin Loth), but in a straight-up 1v1, meph all the way.

Actually, Njal vs Mephy would be interesting. Both have 2+ armour, so it's down to forcing saves. Njal has less attacks, wounds and T, and wounds on 4+, while Meph wounds on a 2+ but has to get past the invuln. Whoever gets a wound through first Id's the other. Mephy's extra attacks are countered slightly by the 4++. If Njal's 3+ deny works on Force (can't recall exact wording) I think he just edges it, but if not then Mephiston takes him down thanks to more attacks/wounding easier.

The wonderful thing about Tiggers is Tiggers are wonderful things.

I'll go with the Ultramarine. Other librarians weep in their hearts because they know they will never be Tigurius.

tbh, transfixing gaze imo gives this to mephy, ld 6 or reroll all to hit and wounds, (also, hitting at higher int, on 3s, and wounding on 2s with 5-6 attacks at str 10.....)

also, njarls +3 Deny does not work on force weapons as far as I know. (otherwise everything would get 5/6+ DTW on force weps which I kinda like the sound of)

Ezekiel wins hands down, while he doesn't have the raw power of either two in combat or psychic mastery, he has two things going for him, he went straight to codicer and made epistolary in 10 years and his memories are so messed up that when the previous DA Chief Librarian glimpsed them he was put in a coma for eighty days, and yet Ezekiel is still sane, so he wins by sheer grit and strength of will.

Njal's staff would affect Transfixing Gaze though.

Why? It's not a psychic power, just a thing Mephiston has.

Clearly, the superior Librarian is Ahzek Ahriman, Chief Librarian of the Thousand Sons.

He was laying down the psychic smack before it was cool.
