Subject: Show off your painted Deadzone (and Warpath) minis!
A-Bomb is painted. Of course, it looks (from images on Google) that he should have black claws too. Anyway, he's done except black claws apparently. I'll follow up with an edit to this post including all three models together. Because...yeah. "Team Smash" represent!

... 3rd gen, 2nd gen, 1st gen and his dog (woof), went to mow a meadow.
Rather like the big gribbly but I am entirely sick of trying to carve mold lines out of all the crevices so the remaining plague might get a bit rough and ready.

Lookin good! The various phases are distinct and it fits each of them fairly well. This shot makes me realize those dogs may be a bit bigger than I had thought.
My sorak is cooling down before I can mat seal and base him, maybe later tonight... I did finish my first batch of sedition wars minis so you can peruse them if you want to know how I plan to paint my plague and enforcers from this point forward:
Spoiler:
Works for these guys, should work on enforcers, the black flexible armor will be replaced by the lower off-color enforcer plates, yellow may or may not change.
I think this will work for the plague as well. Anything that's mutated bone is going to be the dark grey/black that you can see on the quasimodo and stalker in the back, should do interesting things to the 1st and 2nd gens... but I think I'm ok with that.

Icky. I've yet to decide what I'm going to do with my strain (beyond berating myself for buying yet more minis just because they were cheap and look cool).

The awesome part is, aside from just a little edge highlighting and the blood for the blood god, everything is just a basecoat into dip. I love dipping!

What color dip do you use? I have a can of Army Painter dark tone, and while it works well on most things, it looks weird over grey.

I need to hot water bend the next batch into new poses for sure. These paint up so fast that I'm thinking of doing plague first so I can get my done pile filled up quicker

This weekend I finally got around to painting my first Deadzone things. Usually I try to paint the least spectacular models first so I can reward myself with the centrepieces, but this time the S1 was irresistible. Really my favourite model in the entire game (in a "We REALLY like those Locust Berserkers, don't you too?" way).
(note: varnish hasn't dried completely yet)
As for the rest of the Plague. I was somewhat unhappy with the S3's. I thought - "Well, it's Mantic - grotesquely malformed humanoids should be their bread and butter!" but really, those elongated torsos and the faces didn't do much for me. So I picked up my trusty saw and got rid of 2-3 mms of upper body. For the heads I used WHF Ghouls. Scale fits pretty well, and they give off a vibe somewhat like those vampires in 'Blade II' or 'I Am Legend'.
I'll probably be using the bluish-purple hands and feet as a connective element on all Plague models. With the smaller ones (and the dogs) it's supposed to look like frostbite (or rather plaguebite) - We'll see how that works out... hope I'll be able to finish 5 of those and the dogs over the weekend.
General impressions: Restic is far from my favourite hobby materials, but at least it takes the paint pretty well and doesn't cost much. Getting rid of flash is pretty much of a chore (especially compared to 'normal' resin or hard plastic - in both of those cases my trusty GW flash scraper works fine). I found drilling and pinning to be trickier, too. The integrated bases are a really, really questionable design decision, but, quite frankly, I don't think many of the humanoid-sized DZ models are playing pieces, rather than 'display quality' anyway. So - most of those will get some filler/sand/plastic bits treatment.

That is a really nice and inventive paint scheme, Bomster. Interested to see how the gen 2's will turn out with that scheme on as they have a lot less inherent detail on the armour plates.
How do you find the plague dog sculpts? I thought they were the weakest in the range (but at least quick to do if you're a lazy painter like I am and you clearly are not).

@larva_uk: weeell, the dogs are not really spectacular, but on the other hand it's nice to get to paint some regular animals for a change. The facial detail is a bit shallow - I fear I'll have to actually paint in some details (on my models there's practically no distinction between snout and teeth) ...
As for the S2 - i'm a bit annoyed that the design across the various stages is a bit inconsistent: the bone plates on their lower arms and legs don't seem to grow organically out of their limbs like they do on the S1; so I'm considering carving off the lower edges for a smoother transition from their hands and feet. But before that I'll focus on the S3's...

Tuesday I hope to finish at least half of my S3s. All 6 of my S2s are finished, as are my 2 S1s. Maybe do Dr. Simmonds with a Red Shulkie paint scheme (Betty Ross was a doctor, got hulkified...it works). My Recon is going to have purple and magenta armor/clothing and his gun is being replaced with a bow. Guess who HIS inspiration is. Hopefully by Tuesday evening I'll have a decent Iron Man vs. Hulk setup done.

And there I was thinking that Recon N32-19 was impossible to make cooler. Oh, how wrong I was... Can't wait to see this (and may have to try something similar myself at some point.)

I'm not going to GS a mask (thought about it), but I only want them influenced by certain heroes. I want the models to stay as they are. The bow is an exception due to Rule of FETHING HAWKEYE!!
