Well gents, I believe two of you requested this particular paint job. The goggles were shaved down to look like his mask instead, no other conversions needed. I considered sticking a couple cards out of his cloak, and may still do it at some point. Next will be the Rebel Sniper-she bears a striking resemblance to a certain red haired girl that Cable raised in the far future...

Following the Ragin Cajun, we have a little lady who was raised in the future, faced attempted assassination by Bishop (at the behest of a future Gambit, ironically). She's all grown up now and ready to do her part in the Deadzone. Everyone welcome Hope Summers.

Thanks-the Rebel chick's face is a bit weird though-looks better in person, but almost Elven...

Also, the Terratons won't be Marvel inspired. I just hope I do them better justice than Michael Bay is...

Thanks, although paint washes did pretty much all of the work, the major problem was the eyes I was holding my breath and trying not to shake when It came to the pupils

heh, yeah I guess the terraton would be pretty hard to match up to a marvel character unless of course you want to do a Benjamin Grimm version

ohhh I like the deranged look, amazing how different a model can look with a different head.

Painted up a Reb trooper the other day, not to pleased with some of the details but he's done now.

Looks good, nice action shot

That plague mutant looks pretty sinister too AoV, nice work.

I really need to get off my butt and finish my plague dudes, the scheme is pretty well set, just having trouble sitting down to paint.

Painted up some of the drones. Nothing too crazy, but I figured drones should be discrete looking.

As always, nice looking stuff.
Speaking of narrative: "Hey, Yndy. I think there's a 1A coming down this alley over my shoulder. Why don't you peek out and see. I'll stay here and cover you."

Cheers Grim/ Privateer, I just don't think they look particularly scary for an ancient alien plague in pink. Except for the 1A obvy.

alternatively I think the narrative would be along the lines of:

Reb: I don't want to sound cynical... but I think we're dead...
Yndij: Think its seen us?
Plague: ROAAAAR!!
(Reb and Yndij) ohcrapohcrapohcrap....

Oh I'm sitting here looking at my next Reb, "El-Beardo" and I'm looking for a little inspiration with the colour, so far the combinations I'm thinking are.

Red armour, black clothes.
white armour, blue clothes
Green armour, brown clothes
Beige armour, orange clothes

Any other possible selections people want me to try or any preference to the above combinations?

Quick question- if I was to do battle damage ie bullet wounds etc, what colours do you think would suit my plague scheme?

@AOV- You could either go with a bright red (so you can actually see it against the skin) or you could do a flourescent green, (almost like vulkan blood) to give some contrast to the rest of your model.

Or Predator blood lol. Do we think Nurgle's Rot paint might work for that?

So I have most of the GW technical paints, but not that one. My only concernt with it from the pics I've seen is that it has a slight translucent property to it that may not make for good blood. Then again, these are alien virus infected beings so who knows what their blood would like like. I would probably try a more opaque color myself, though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember the guy on GW's videos saying the more you use the brighter the Nurgle's Rot looks?

Yeah, I think if you put it down with many layers it will be pretty solid. It lets you leave some parts more translucent, like the slime isn't fully opaque, just in concentration.

I may try a little on my guys since I have it, though I think the blood is what I'll be settling on.

Gah wha? Somehow I missed those! It's what I get for switching between phone, desktop, laptop, and kiddie tablet for updates The Gambit looks like Gambit, very cool My Xmen lore is failing me, but the scheme for your rebs commander screams older school xmen, which is awesome

I think the bright green Predator style would show up quite nicely plus the green blood would also be appropriate for the green skin, Nurgles rot technical paint would give a nice finish but I would probably go for a base colour before applying it like Moot green.
