I stopped reading Marvel (and comics in general) just before Secret Invasion started, but I've heard about some of Norman's crazier exploits, should be interesting to see your take on the character.

It's mostly short stories. I'm not sure I would have paid the $7 for it, it's only 100-110 pages. I liked most or all of the stories, but I don't think any of them gave anything away. The enforcers seemed a bit more human than robocop, but only just. The marauders were portrayed as pretty smart though they play dumb to take advantage of suckers. All in all, they were pretty grimdark, bad stuff happens, and when it does it sucks to be you

You might get some insight, but its not like they lay out all of the names of the biggest corporations and the shape and size of the corporation's holdings. They don't tell you what kind of training an enforcer gets or detail the military hierarchy. They talk about the faster than light travel consistently enough that we can probably consider that canon. I would put the stories, on average, as better than what you get in the Ironwatch magazine, but only by a bit (one or more of the writers in the compilation have stuff in the magazine too, I probably like Breach as much or more than anything in containment protocols).

Well, I was unhappy with the red portion of his armor, so I have to switch it to a more metallic red. I didn't get anything accomplished with him, but I did build a new conversion, and I am definitely in need of an open faced enforcer captain head to finish the conversion. I'll actually be leaving the head as is, it needs no work, but the green stuff has to dry before I do any more work on it. Magnets are involved. And weapons. Lots of weapons. The model is pretty much a walking arsenal. A machine of war, if you will.

Nexus Psi is the book you want for background on the factions. About 5 pages for all 4 factions, and a page for each special character.

After my less than subtle comment about the newest member of my team, here he is, Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes. What, you expected him in his traditional silver on silver armor? Fooled you!! Also, both big guns are magnetized and interchangeable, so whether you want going into battle with a burst rifle or a missile launcher, just put the one you want facing forward and the other one facing up. He can switch hit at every game.

Looks pretty cool, I like the use of magnets.

He'll be pulling double duty as a sergeant for my HW Enforcer Squads, counting as the commander with a blade/pistol. He's the only one I'm doing, as it was a pain to get it right with the tools I had, and I don't want to chance a round 2 fail. Lol. Stormin' Norman Osborn is almost done, I just have to finish the shield. I decided the red looked decent after a wash, and left him as is. If there is public backlash, I'll switch the style for the red to something else I know has worked in the past. Rhodey's base is unflocked at the moment, I'll get to it eventually to try to hide the platforms.

The patriotic bastard used parts from the following:
Body-Missile Launcher from Deadzone
Head-Commander from Deadzone
Missile Launcher-From Deadzone
Burst laser-from standard Enforcer kit
Hands-Eldar Guardians
Wrist Guns-Enforcer rifles cut down
Right arm-metal burst laser arm
Left Arm-plastic burst laser arm

Norman Osborn is affiliated with captain america? For that matter the punisher too? He must get more hardcore at some point.

Nick Fury was removed from SHIELD at one point and Tony took his place. Following Secret Invasion, Tony Stark was seen as weak and ineffective, and Norman Osborn pulled a stunt on television that made him look like a hero. The public flocked to him, he took over SHIELD, turning it into SWORD, gained control of the Avengers, and access to all of Stark's work. He took the suit and since Cap was dead, he merged the two into a single character: Iron Patriot. He led the Avengers until he went nuts and Goblin came back out. Then Cap came back, sorted things with Stark, they hugged it out and booted Norman to the curb. And they lived happily ever after. The end.

Oh cool, my memory is kinda poor. Are you doing the captain as a hulkbuster or did you already have one from warpath?

I have two from warpath that are already hulk buster.
I may try to make one more hulkbusterish, but not sure yet. I do have two more schemes for snipers as well that would require alternate models. One will require another Recon model, the other I have already. Both will be standing sniper alternates.

I'd offer to trade you a recon for... something... but honestly you could probably nab one off of miniature market or similar for little more than it would cost me to send one, I seem to recall their small item shipping being pretty decent.

I thought I had seen one or more warpath captains before, but my memory is poor.

I mentioned to GD that I wanted a Hawkeye model without the Bane mask going, and the smallest Elohi head fits on Recon's body perfectly. Currently fixing him up and actually making him look as close to Clint Barton as I can with Mantic parts. My other sniper wearing black leather and a sultry Russian accent is almost half done as well. And seriously, nobody better need a further hint than that, or I'm throwing my Xbox at their head.

Will she be some kind of spider maybe a black one that maybe has last it's husband?

That is a pretty awesomely themed force you've got yourself there I'd be down with your snipers just fine, they're like twice as easy to shoot so as long as you told me I was playing five enforcers and which was which I'd play against that force all day.

Also, has anyone thought of doing count-as conversions for Deadzone? I've been thinking of doing a elite Veer-Myn force counts as Marauders using Nightmares as the base model, you guys think
that's a good match theme/rules wise and more importantly would in be legal in pick-up games and tournaments providing I follow basic wysiwyg rules? As far as I know Mantic have no issues
with conversions.

The Pyms are there, they just don't translate well to the 28mm scale.

And Rolt, I actually have Hulk and Friends set as the Plague: Hulk, Smart Hulk, Red Hulk, Grey Hulk, etc are the S3s, A-Bomb (Rick Jones) is S2, and Abomination is S1. Doggies I got lazy. Lol. The Plague Enforcer will be a Hulked out Iron Man, of course.

I kind of want to get a 15mm human and convert him into an Ant man and use him as a Zee, then get a Kraaw-Wasp thing going on... just so they can have some love But then I'll want to start doing every Marvel character you've yet to do and thats... just too much going on at this point Spider Yndij, Colossus Grogan (sonofabitch I just now thought of that /cry) and so on... Must... resist!

Uh...Colossus Grogan isn't in my painting gallery only because I haven't inked his torso yet and was too busy on my Ironforcers. Sorry...lol. He's 95% done. I went with Beast for the Yndijj, btw. Gonna cut the tail off, I think.
