Hey man, cant remember if the medic was part of the strikeforce package or not, he's one of the Reb booster models and If I remember rightly he was in a bag along with the missile launcher team and the Kraaw warrior so if you have those you should have a Judwan medic somewhere.

Actually, Hulk is with the Plague. He's S3, A-Bomb is S2, Abomination is S1. No plans for Thor at the moment, but if I did, he'd definitely be a ForgeFather.

Yeah he was just part of the booster/booster bundle. He should be in one of the smaller Rebs boosters available at retail now (or soon, can't remember).

What's difference between A-Bomb and Abomination? I thought they're the same character? (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Abomination is Emil Blonsky, an ex soldier, and a common Hulk villain. A-Bomb is Rick Jones, after he got a gamma bath. A-Bomb is also blue.

Plus, sadly, the Abomination is currently dead.

One of my favorite villains...

As for A-Bomb - I think he's still active?

But I can't be sure!

Hey everybody, I saw in a recent update from Mantic that they were looking for photos of painted Deadzone miniatures and battlefield scenery etc.. I sent an email to their new community manager and she said if anybody would like to share their work with them either tweet them @manticgames or upload pictures on facebook I think they are mainly looking for painted Deadzone scenery

I saw that too. Did they have a window over which they were taking photos? I've only got three structures right now so it would be kind of a lame entry

I dont think they have a window, I think they might just be interested to see what everybody is doing out there with their creation and I guess the more people posting pictures and tweets will raise more awareness about Mantic games and be good promotional advertisement

Pardon me, all, I just got served some dry cider that is CLEARLY high alcohol content, and despite only one, I feel like I've been drinking all day. Doesn't help that it was delicious! And a local Michigan cider and it was inexpensive. I might have two tomorrow.

Finally!! My Kraaw is finished, to be honest I'm not overly happy with him, the casting lines were virtually impossible to get rid off so I just gave up and painted over them like usual, I also think I should have gone for a different skin-tone.

I am painting so many minis these days that I just don't care about mold lines anymore.

My buddy just got me into Warpath. I've got 70 Orx grunts to paint. Only the worst mold lines are going to get attention.

Color primer. Skin, face, weapons, boots, belt, base. Dip. Done.

EDIT: Warpath Orx are barefoot. No boots. Even better.

Cheers guys, and I know what you mean Blooddave, I guess I've been spoilt by GW miniatures over the years but it is annoying when you have something that looks like a pouch or a grenade with a casting line going through it and your left thinking "what the Hell is that!?"

Well just the Terraton, Drones and heavy weapon team to go and that will be the Rebs done then im going to have to look at trying to do a salvage job on the Enforcers my brother started painting.... To be honest I think I might wait until the second survey shipment gets here and see if casting issues have been resolved on the second batch of Enforcers.

Oh yeah, just been adding a bit of foliage and moss to add a bit of colour to the board, it's pretty much finished now and just needs buildings.







Got a few updated shots with figures on it too but I'll have to post them later.

Finished my first Plague model.



I experimented with some glow effects around the largest collection of green insides, but it didn't work out as well as I'd hoped, so I limited myself to a few clusters. I might come back and some around the concrete, but until them, I'm now working on the Gen twos.

Interesting take on the plague Stage 1, I like the glowing green insides but I think they're a bit lost with the colour of the rest of the body, perhaps a wash of black or dark blue ink then highlight again with the green, that should really make it stand out I'm looking forward to seeing how you do your stage 2's

Thanks mate. The photo doesn't show it, but the insides are actually quite vivid. The porblem is if i use the flash it washes out all the shading and highlights at the expense. At some point I'll get the hang of this photography lark.

I'm going to try a bit of an experiment for the Gen 2s. I want the Gen 3s to be the red raw look that mantic's have, which means the G2s need to be a ste between.

My plan is ot do the green underoating as above and try a red wash. I have no idea how it will turn out, and it says a lot about my life that I find that uncertainty exciting.

hmmm that certainly sounds like a challenge but that's what makes the painting fun. I know what you mean about the photography, the camera can really add something or alternatively make the model look completely different.

I really dig how different everyone is going with their factions. One more ripper suit to go and the Marauders are done. Only the Rebs left to do, which I figure I'll do the Teraton first and get the big guy out of the way.

Wrath is painted up in the same armor scheme as I used for the Enforcers as a bit of mocking them. Marauder General keeps with my Army of the Potomac take for the Marauders.

I was dreading painting the Mawbeasts, but then looked at the Blaine figure I did and decided it was a Mawbeast coat, so it clicked. I hated the Mawbeasts and still want to nut punch whoever thought chainsaw mouths was a good idea, but the figure is starting to grow on me.



Ripper suit number 1, base is Vallejo English Uniform. Absolutely loving Vallejo paint, which I hadn't used too much before the Marauders.
