Thanks for the compliments. Just need to finish basing and varnishing the 2nd ripper suit and the Marauders are finished. This faction, early on, almost turned me off to the game in general as I wasn't a fan of the sculpts nor of the mould lines when I got them. They turned out to be an absolute pleasure to paint though and have probably been the most fun of all the factions to paint.
So, enforcers, plague, marauders and all the mercenaries are done. Only the rebs faction left to do, Light is finally at the end of the tunnel. Think I'm going to take a week off before picking up the rebs. I'll post some faction shots in the next few days once I have a moment.

Hey Tripple9, nice looking Orx there and I like the wrath paint job I'm only half way through my Rebs and i haven't even started the Enforcers Or Marauders yet on the up side though I have finally started to paint the Deadzone scenery, after 5 months of putting it off I grabbed a grey and white can of spray paint and went crazy over the weekend... I'm going to paint a group of the same types of panels and get it done in bulk but there is just so much plastic to paint!!!

I was dreading painting the Mawbeasts, but then looked at the Blaine figure I did and decided it was a Mawbeast coat, so it clicked. I hated the Mawbeasts and still want to nut punch whoever thought chainsaw mouths was a good idea, but the figure is starting to grow on me.
I agree about the chainsaws. Honestly if I had kept the mawbeasts I would have clipped the tongues out.

Not me! I think they're ridicawesome. I kind of wish they didn't all have bombs, but since I'm not likely to take the exploding kind... we'll just call those crude generators for powering the chainsaw tongue and Jaws of "life" thing they've got going on. And now I've got a color scheme picked out so hopefully I'll dump some shots soon.

Looks like they've built new stuff on top of some old stuff- nice
Quick question to you all while I remember. Is it worth leaving stuff unglued and just held together with clips? Cause I've destroyed about a half dozen worth of clips taking buildings apart and reassembling them...
Managed to salvage a few with plastic glue.

In my opinion, no. Just considering the time it takes to assemble and disassemble a small building I wouldn't bother keeping all the bits unglued (and clipping/unclipping all the time will knacker a paint job). I glued up six main building modules plus three bridges from the bits I had but chamfered the lugs that hold the bridges to the buildings so I can rearrange everything relatively easily. That lot plus some barricades, billboards and the various crates and barrels you get still allows a lot of flexibility in building DZ layouts. And that's before I start throwing in the old AT-43 scenery I have knocking about.

I'm hot gluing everything into modular structures to be combined later as desired. When my connector bundle shows up with shipment 2 I may clip and glue the clips, but I'm pretty partial to hot glue.

Hot glue- It doesn't warp your tiles at all then?

Not a bit so far as I can tell. I have one of the mini guns, like the 4-7 dollar size. I don't think it gets particularly hot, just enough to melt the glue, but I haven't had any problems yet. The DZ tiles are really thick and tough, compared to .5 or 1mm plasticard. The .5mm stuff can warp a little but not a whole lot really. But the DZ tiles and accessories are entirely immune as far as I can tell. Really the hot glue isn't even all that permanent, I'm pretty sure I could spend a few minutes with a hair dryer and pull any of my structures apart. The paint along the joins would get ruined, of course. I should say however, while the glue itself is safe, that the metal tip of the gun *can* melt into tiles if you rest it on them. I don't see boring through them, just slagging the surface a bit.

The stuff needs gluing, and it needs the clips as well (for tension, to hold stuff at right angles).

Yeah, I use *some* clips on the inside of buildings. I usually use straight clips on the outside to secure things in place before hot-gluing, then pry them back off once the piece is set.

I was going for a brand new built over worn old look, I've got a bit of a background with this "outpost" where the original structure is battered by Tsunami's, Typhoons and sand storms but the area in question is of great value both in natural resources and scientific research so the corporation provide cheap structures to do the job every year and rebuild after they finally collapse.
Ok onto the Deadzone scenery debate: Yes these things are fiddly to construct and take a bit of effort to keep together but I think glueing them might be a bit of a permanent solution to something which is supposed to be a variable modular kit, If you have enough money and time to buy more kits and paint them to make enough buildings to cover most scenarios then I would say "do it" if not then there are a couple of options.
1. Glue only the most used configurations together, if your constantly sticking the same floor and wall panel together and is a constantly used configuration cut down the time and stick them together.
2. Stick them together with a rubber Adhesive such as Bostick or UHU, this should hold them together but be easy to peel off after your done but don't expect to keep your paint job in tact.
3. Blu/White tack or Plasticine, You can pick up a large pack of this for pretty much next to nothing and just use it to reinforce the corners and connection points, its a bit time consuming but it should do the job and leave your paint untouched.
Any other suggestions to add?

Im exactly the same, every plague figure painted except for the swarm, I just keep looking at it trying to figure out what goes where and what each thing is, It's going the be a nightmare to paint
Ok got a few more scenery panels painted up and I figured I would try clipping a few of them together.... DAMN these things are hard to assemble without some sort of tools so I'm also seriously considering glueing a few together but before I do I was wondering what the most commonly used buildings will be? Any suggestions or examples?

Have you got access to Nexus Psi? If you plan on doing those campaigns, at least 5 (and possibly all but one) of the scenarios involve a 'setting up the game' style section. One has a large landing pad, another is a series of walkways. One has a largish fortified building. If you are worried about the specifics I can dig out my PDF and elaborate a bit more. Otherwise... I think people who have gotten to play a lot will be able to tell you what to focus on for terrain.
My personal focus has been on a couple three 1x1x1 cubes with plenty of access, 1x2 or 1x3 x1high narrow structures, 2x2x1high building sections (stack them to make larger buildings!), and one or two 2x3 buildings. I've also got a couple of 1x1x2high towers and another pair or three with an extra cube of height. I plan to interconnect them with walkways most of the time I set up my own board.

Snip a little off the a corner of the connector plugs and it will help them click together more easily. Was murder on my fingers when I started putting it together without doing that.

Ok this is helpful, I will hopefully be getting the Nexus Psi in the second shipment I havent bothered downloading anything just yet since I've been so busy with everything.
I've been experimenting a little and using a small file I've managed to round off the corners and straighten the edges of the connector pieces and they seem to be going together a lot easier now, I think I will still glue a couple together to save me time in the future though.
