I really think the best ally to a White Scars list is a GK stormraven with Coteaz and DCA/Crusader squad inside it. Mindstrikes are amazing against Seer Council/Screamerstar, and people tend to underestimate just how resilient the acolytes are; plus they're scoring.

Should go something like this:

Chapter Master, Bike, Auspex, Artificer, Power Fist, Storm Shield

Command Squad, Apothecary, 5 Grav Guns, Bikes

5 Man bike Squad, 2 Grav
5 Man bike Squad, 2 Grav
5 Man bike Squad, 2 Grav
5 Man bike Squad, 2 Melta, AB, Multi-Melta

TFC
TFC

GK Allies
Coteaz
3 Crusaders and 6 DCA
4 Acolytes
GK Stormraven

Which leaves you about 50 points to play around with.

I can definitely see how the GK allies are potent against Screamerstar/Seer Council, but they're pretty much dead weight against anything else I feel. A single Stormraven is easy to bring down.

How are they dead weight against anything else? A Storm Raven with 12/12/12, melta immunity and psychic pilot can't easily be ignored as it pumps melta and str7 rending into your opponents forces. Not to mention the crusader/assault squad within, which pretty much guarantees an assault if they don't shoot the Storm Raven down. The DCA squad will murderise most things unprepared to deal with it and will definitely surprise you with its resiliency, and as its scoring the enemy will have to deal with it. It's pretty cheap and incredibly annoying.

+ 1 on GK from me too.

Stormraven is good against two of the best list out there; screamerstar and jetstar. It's also ok against other fliers (like hellturkey which the bikes hate).

I would however had other cargo. A nice ally is:

Cotaez with 3 plasmacannon servitors and 6 acolytes
4 acolytes and banisher
Stormraven with MM, AC,HB and psybolts.

Cotaez and friends is great anti drop pod on your bikes in turn 1. And good anti-deep strike later. Put in bolstered terrain from your SM techmarine. Lot of scoring bodies in 3+ cover.

Acolytes goes in raven. The banishers reroll inv.save is great against screamerstar, seerstar and turkeys 5++. Dump acolytes on object late game.

I've actually used a single Storm Raven before a reasonable amount of games, and have not been impressed with its performance. As mentioned, it's great against the Hell Turkey, but without other fliers as targets I felt it was lacking. However, I was using the Space Marine version - do the Mindstrike Missiles really make that big of a difference?

Mindstrikes are there to hard-counter Seer Councils, Screamerstars and to a lesser extent Farsight/Loth-Bombs. It's the best option available to WS armies.

Shooty Coteaz star isn't quite as good I feel, considering the amount of AP2 Ignores Cover out there you're giving up a free FB against Ovesa Star.

I also feel like with the heavy amount of AP2 shooting present in a bike list already, it becomes redundant.
