With all the talk about how much this has changed the game I would like to get this off my mind. Might be a dumb question and it might be in the new rules but my question is about the effect of Puppet master on the new units. Would it work on say a Bane blade and let you fire away are the other guys army for a turn? We are going to run a few games this weekend to try it all out. I know one guy will have a bike librarian that almost every game gets this power! If this is so he will be a "must die!" target on my list.

He gets to make a shooting attack using your baneblade.

All guns and any mixed targets? or just one gun and one target. My understanding it each gun on the take can pick different targets? I could be confused on this. Only had the book for a few days.

That could be bad news for me. So I know what I will be targeting first

Maybe not entirely true though. Had a discussion about the same issue with a friend of mine who slapped a wording out of the "Imperial Armour 12: The Fall of Orpheus" book on page 227 or something. Now i don't personally have that book since it's a stupid SM/Necron book and i'm an IG player myself But there is another thread on dakka with the same discussion where the wording is brought up:

Imperial Armour 12 is not a 40k official book, it's not even an apocalypse book updated to the new rules IIRC.

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

Wrong. It is just as official as everything else GW produces.

it's not even an apocalypse book updated to the new rules IIRC.

This, however, is correct. IA12 was published before the new Apocalypse rules, and under the old rules superheavies were immune to psychic powers (other than attacks with a strength value). Those rules are now obsolete, and under the current Apocalypse rules superheavies no longer have this immunity.

Forgeworld does not produce GW products any more than Dasani bottles Cocacola. Its not part of the GW product line, you can't purchase or order FW products in a GW store. They two separate, albeit complementary, product lines but they are not the same product.

DJ - incorrect. Read the copyright notice on the FW books - they are Games Workshop.

You also CAN order FW products from the store.

They are Games Workshop, but they are Apocalypse rules, and are as relevant to standard 40k as City of Death, Planetstrike or Kill Team rules. It doesn't really matter as they're obsolete anyway.

Wrong. FW is indisputably part of the game, just like everything else GW publishes. Attempting to argue that one brand name is somehow different than another makes about as much sense as arguing that Citadel models aren't part of the same game, or that GW Digital Editions products aren't really official. Your personal rules about what is official (like being able to order from a GW store instead of a GW website) are irrelevant here.

Not all stores. Or at least - you gain nothing by doing it in a store over doing it in your pjs at home.

Sure, but that's not really relevant when the only reason not to order any GW product in your pjs at home is if you feel like making a charity donation to your local independent store instead of getting the online discount. By the standard of "can I buy it in a store" the only official GW product is paint.

Did I argue that point? Like, at all? I mentioned a single thing and you threw on your white armor. Seriously, stand down dude. Nos said something as an absolute and I corrected that one point.
