Hay guys/Gals. Im an avid Space Wolves player trying to start up a well rounded Raven Guard list. Been working with the Space Marine codex to try and get the best out of the points value so here it is:

HQ:
Shadow Captain – 155 points
- Teeth of Terra
- Jump Pack
- Grav Pistol

TROOPS
10-Man tac Squad – 170 points
- Missile Launcher
- Flamer
- Combi-Flamer

10-Man Tac Squad – 210 points
- Heavy Bolter
- Plasma Gun
- Combi-Plasma
- Drop Pod

ELITES
6-Man Sternguard Veteran Squad – 144 points

FAST ATTACK
6-Man Assualt Squad – 117 points
- Grav Pistol
- Lightning Claw

Stormtalon Gunship – 110 points

Stormtalon Gunship – 125 points
- Skyhammer Missile Launcher

HEAVY SUPPORT
Stormraven Gunship – 200 points
- Twin-linked Lascannon
- Twin-linked Multi-Melta

All this comes in at around 1231 points. Idea is the Captain and the Assualt Marines go into the Storm Raven and the Tac squad in the drop pod will create some instant target threat at the start of the game. Thinking about swapping out the plasma for some melta and a multi melta to try and get a cheap shot on some armour. Advice would be greatly welcomed.

So what your saying is that I should bend like wheat but strike like cream?

Needs more jump infantry! I like VV w/ shirke to outflank (maybe A couple special cc weeps and a storm shield or two)

Not a fan of Grav pistols...2 Flamers on the assault squad would be better...also Rhinos really let you get the most from the scout moves.

Needs more Anti-tank, the way it is you only have aircraft for AT purposes, and they come in on turn 2 at the earliest. You want to be cracking tanks and transports turn 1, because it gets you first blood. Add in some devestators or something.

No, Predators with 3 Lascannons! 12 inch Scout move allows you to get to a sweet spot, like side armor!

I believe he was suggesting a tri-las predator over devastators. Either way, RG chapter tactics don't allow you to scout-deploy a predator.

If you use scout to outflank the Sternguard that might be effective unless the enemy has some interceptor riptides.

I swear interceptor is just for deepstrike and flyers, I don't think it counts for outflanking..
