First of all, my question is just that. A question. Please, if you feel the need to flex your internet muscles by trying to brow beat me, do not bother. I know everyone has 2 things, opinions and ....hole.

With that unpleasentness out of the way. I play Space Marines. I really dislike the Centurion models. I do like the rules for them since I play Imperial Fists ct.

Would you have any problem if you faced 3 Contemptor Pattern Dreadnaughts and was told they are counts as Centurions? My standard Dreads are the boxy shaped ones, so it wouldnt be "confusing" a cent with a dread. The Contemptor pattern has all the weapon loadouts except the hurricane bolters and frankly, I dont see me using those pretty much ever.

I understand I would have to change the base they sit on because the Cent one is different then the dreadnaught's but otherwise?

Its a game, have fun. If you arent for some reason...find a new one.

They would be vastly oversized for Centurions. I wouldn't care too much though. It would just make them easier targets since they would require more cover to conceal them.

I know the Contemptor is a bit taller then a standard Dread, but those are just about the same height as a Cent, so its not TOO bad.

I just google pic searched Dreadnaught Centurion comparison and Contemptor/dread comparison

Its a game, have fun. If you arent for some reason...find a new one.

Personally, I'd end up having a problem with it for consistent use. They're simply too different.

The automota are your best bet. Once you start getting taller than Dreadnoughts, the unit stops making sense and starts costing stupid amounts of money.

Would these work from forgeworld or are they too small? I was hoping to get my hands on a few of these to stand-in for Centurians, the models are just too bulky.

Indeed, the Centurii models look a bit like the Michelin figure. The Warjacks from WM provide a decent substitute if you have appropriate weapons at hand.

I don't think any of those are supposed to be a dreadknight. Contemplator lacks hands so cannot be a DK, other one has a big Mechanicus symbol so not likely it either.

What about the exo-mechs from the Anvil Industry KS? Not sure when they're due to be on general release though.

I've seen these, and I think they look cool, Personally I was thinking IG Sentinels with them, but that's a whole different discussion.

as far as using them as Centurions... That could work.

I like to say I have two armies: Necrons, and Imperium.....

I think this is a pretty good size sheet to get a good idea of what size the centurion is and what will work as a counts-as

Wow, that was an incredibly defensive stance to take. I don't even know what you are expecting anyone to browbeat you about. Think the worst of everyone you have yet to hear a word from much?

I feel like you're starting off by insulting the community as a whole before asking your question by assuming you'll be treated like **** for asking a question here.

I don't blame him, there is a certain rep that comes with the boards. Let it slide and prove him wrong!

I'm behind anyone who's looking for alternatives to those ugly, squat models. Anybody stick dwarf heads on em yet?
