Right now I'm doing a Blacksmithing course, so of course I couldn't pass up the opportunity to build one of these beauties! (Kinda inspired from Pox (*cough*hisorklanda*cough*))

Although it will take some time to make this, since I'm only making progress with it when I'm ahead of the others (which isn't that rare. ), but I am determined to get it done!

Anyway, enough text. Here's some pictures of it taken just today (which is the last day before the Christmas break):

The first thing I made was (of course) the bottom plate and the feet. And from then, I made the skeleton of the body.
It's gonna have at least two Deff Kannons (or a Deff Kannon and something else) and a Belly Kannon with rules I've made myself. I'm still debating on what kind of goodies I should make up to smack onto him.

The parts separated.
Edit: Bah, it didn't resize properly. Hope you don't mind this wide image.

Tried to make him balance on his feet (with some help from some tools I had lying around), partially successful.

And right now, he's a good 46cm tall (with the feet), 35cm wide and 32cm long.

Stay tuned for when I slap more (s**t) bits onto it next year!

Since there won't be any progress until next year, I might as well post something in here, just so there's a bit of an update on this. (And also so you all can see the planned amount of goodies and dakka this git's gonna have. )

And don't worry, I'll try to get on with this project as the first thing in the new year!

Well, they have been quite inactive, so I dunno. Unless of course you're talking of some other klub than this one, then I had no idea that even existed!

Boy, it's been a whole year since I've updated this. Alright, I'll just stop it right there...

Anyway, here's some more progress on the big bugger!

The whole day in the workshop has been spent on finishing the front end frame, and the back end one, and on top of that, I've added screws! Ain't that something!

And here's yet another update!

Today I managed to make the "arm sockets", or rather the spots where the arms are supposed to sit. However, these also works as clamps, holding the front and rear body together at the top, hence the two poles through the top body.

Also, I stuck the belly kannon into the belly.

Here's the images:

Now there's more parts to disassemble and assemble, and there's gonna be more to come.

The whole thing as it is now (plus the two Deff Kannons balancing on the gun mount poles)

This is the part where the klaw arm's gonna be attached to.

And the gun one (and here you can also see my welding skills. )

Also, I am gonna be using some plastic and green stuffing for some details, like on this part.

And the big ol' Belly Kannon.
(Sorry about the poor quality on some of these images, by the way. :/ )

By the way, since I'm only gonna be able to work on this in the workshop, that means I won't be able to work on it in the weekends. But, that doesn't mean I can't work on some other things that I'm gonna add on to it.

So would you guys want to see that kind of stuff too (like some of the guns that I'm gonna add, the random bits I've made for it etc)?

I didn't exactly get that much done with the gargant itself, but what I did make was its Klaws for its giant Klaw! And no, it's not just two blades.

It's two blades AND A CHAIN CHOPPA! (And a Big Zzap Gun for the head)

This is obviously the side that's gonna be facing downwards

Mekboyz are surprisingly strong when they just stand around

And there would be another image of the Bigger Zzap Gun, but it hugged up too much space, and right now I'm too tired to change it.

And again, sorry for the bad-ish quality of my phone's camera.

Not much done on it today (due to the fact that I had first aid practice almost all day (so I was only able to work on it in the breaks. )), other than a top plate for the body, a base for the head, the other foot done and a start on the gun mount. But at least I found out that the electronic students in the same gymnasium has a garbage bin, where they dump their used wires and their pipes in (just for a mekboy like me ), and I was lucky to get a whole roll of unused wire, that one of them threw out for some apparent reason!

Anyway, here's a few images:

The base is pushed a wee bit forward, because why the hell not. Well, it's mostly because most of the front's gonna be sloped back.

And like the rest of it, it can be detached. With the bonus for it being able to spin around! (Don't mind the messing welding)

And I didn't get that far with the gun, but still.

That burnished effect on the gun looks excellent!

Are you really going to give it plastic melee weapons though? I feel like it deserves to be all metal!

Very very cool. How heavy is that thing going to be when you finish?

You do realize how hard it would be to make that saw with metal?
And besides, it would be even heavier if I used all metal, which seems pointless to me.

And that effect on the gun was due to the drill being dull.

I honestly have no idea. But right now, it can still be lifted easily.

I got no idea how to wire that kind of gubbins up, but I could consider it. And I have gotten comments about making the belly kannon an air cannon that shoots golf balls.

Now that could be fun lol. Honestly, LEDs are nowhere near as hard as you think. If you want an idiot's guide (as in written by an idiot), click the link in my sig and you can see if it looks like a thing you could do.

It's too bad that it's actually just because the drill was dull (and I have to paint over it. :c)

Well, since the weekend is upon us, that meant that I couldn't stay in the workshop for a longer period, so here's what I've managed to do:

Exhaust pipes stuck together with tape.

And I might post some pictures of some things I'll be making at home (like a big shoota stand, or something else).

Yeah, apologies for not having posted anything yesterday. I kinda got in a hurry when I was done, so I plainly forgot to take some photos!

But don't worry, there's been plenty of progress! The Gun Arm's almost finished (it just needs an additional super gatler, and an ammo box for the supa-guns), and I started building the head and the klaw arm (which you can see in these images)!

Here he is!

It was a bit too difficult to drill holes for the tiny barrels, so I'll find some other way to make them.

The start of the arm. Note that it really is just the start of it (before anyone says that it looks too weak to be holding a klaw, much less a Deff Kannon)

Of course, the crew just couldn't stop smacking the bar up all the time.

Even if it's a bit tight, I can still unscrew it.

And here's the image of the head(s) itself.

The flat ground plate is where the Big Zzap gun's gonna be at, enclosed with some kind of metallic eyebrow hanging above it.

I ask because I'd be very wary of letting you place it on a table next to a host of rather expensive miniatures.

Still very cool though.

Well, heavy enough for me to still be able to lift it

Besides, I doubt that it's gonna be so heavy that it wouldn't be able to be on an Apocalypse table.

Sorry for updating it a wee bit later, but I simply couldn't stop assembling a new Baneblade I got c:

Anyway, today I actually made the klaw arm! and not just parts of it, but actually finished it! Of course, I am gonna be using plasticcard on the arm, since it'll look a bit better than with molten metal plates and welding slag all over it

The git as it stands right now

The arm. Note that the chain choppa is simply the "thumb" of the claw, and I'll be adding the other fingers in the weekend.

Another image of the arm

The parts seperated. It was getting a bit difficult to get to the screws under the arm, so I made it removeable to ease the assembly/disassembly.
