I wondered what everyone's favorite space marine chapter tactics were so set up a poll to find out. Plus could people post reasons why they think that.

Mantis Warriors.

Their abilities are awesome, and really characterful for how the army is meant to play, but you didn't include them. Also, you set your poll up to allow people to vote for more than one. was that deliberate?

Yes it was deliberate. I know some people have more than one favorite chapter tactics and just wanted to know what they were even if its more than one. I didn't include mantis warriors because they wernt in the space marine codex and personally I havnt heard of them very much. Are they good?

I really like the Iron Hands.

Imagine an Iron Hands list, using a Master of the Forge as your warlord, and taking 6 Ironclad dreadnoughts in droppods, that have they will not die!

I like to say I have two armies: Necrons, and Imperium.....

Mantis Warriors are a successor chapter of the White Scars, so they would most likely use their chapter tactics.

Ah, I hadn't seen that page before. But if you weren't playing with Forge World rules they would probably use the White Scars ones.

Salamanders is my favorite.

Some of the Forgeworld ones are pretty potent, though.

For me, it's Red Hunters. Provides Space Marine battle brothers for the SoB, which opens up some very fun and effective combinations.

Order of the Righteous Armour - 542 points so far.

Another vote for Red Hunters.

I use red scorpions at the moment. If I couldn't use forgeworld I'd go with imperial fists. If I had bikes, it would be scars all the way.

From the codex selections, IF all the way. Auto rerolls on what makes up most of my ranged attacks is an auto win for me!

No idea about the forgeworld stuff.

Red Hunters! Because my GK need some battle bros! And who doesn't like Mnemonic Redaction Protocols? Can you say "Manchurian Candidate"? Ha!

salamanders because I like the chapter and they way they play.

I do also like the raven guard, came up with a pretty brutal list that was very CC heavy, throwing out an agies with two 5 man tac squads with heavy weapons for a 3+AS and 3+ cover is very durable and dumping hte rest of the points into assualt and vanguard units.

its very one dimentional but its brutal

This poll is racist.

Imperial Fists till the end. There's no satisfaction like re-rolling all 1's on bolt weapons and tearing down tanks with devastators via re-rolling failed pens/glances.

You left out the other Space Marines! Dark Angles, Blood Angels, and Space Wolves :(

Personally, I really like to run Salamanders w/Ravenwing. Drop Pods + Elite Bikes = awesomeness!

Vulkan w/Command Squad, 10x Sternguard w/Melta & 2x Heavy Flamer, 3x 10 Tactical Squad Flamers & Meltas, & 2 Stormtalons.

Librarian ML2 on a Bike w/Ravenwing Command Squad, 10x Sniper Scouts, & 5 Black Knights. (ADL wQG)

Yes, because they have seperate codices rather than just seperate chapter tactics.

I love the Iron Hands chapter tactics. They are simply awesome. Even more so when combined with the supplement.

Carcharodons, I love how I can make a footslogging bezerker force. I don't know why but I also have a habit of painting grey models.

Given that Tyberos the Red Wake is a special character of the Carcharodons, and that he is using a Carcharodons decal as an icon, I think he is talking about Space Sharks (Carcharodons Astra) not being included in the poll.

Given that I play Red Scorpions, I'm going to have to vote...Red Scorpions.

Even if they do have their own codies that doesn't mean they don't have their own "chapter tactics"

It may not seem like they have chapter tactics but they have unique rules

Well I run Scars and Ultras. But I really think Iron Hands would be the only other one I'd choose.
