Hello.
Under new fortification rules in Stronghold assault, you can dsembark from fortification and charge the same turn.
So if i place bastion midfield, infiltrate some unit in it, and then on turn one i can disembark and charge the ememy (if he deployed close enough)?

Or is there some "No assault on 1st turn" rule somewhere in BRB that i missed?

If you infiltrate you can't assault during the first player turn.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

Vanished Completely

Indeed, while there is no general 'can not assault on Turn 1' rule, the circumstances required to actually pull it off is almost as good as having a rule banning it. The most common situations that lead to a first player turn charge all involve the opponent setting themselves up for it, which is what makes it even more unlikely to see. Almost everything else, which could be evoked by a single player to start closer to the enemy, all contain restrictions designed to prevent charges that might occur because of this. I say almost only because I will not review all of them, I am sure some Special Character out there will have a rule that makes it possible to carry out a player turn 1 charge and then someone will complain over schematics....

So no out-right rule, but if you think you have a way to do it take a very good look at all the rules involved as one of them likely contains a restriction.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

The pivot trick on assault vehicles, especiAlly if they have fleet troops inside, makes player turn one charges very possible

The only non-infiltration and non-scout Turn one charge i can think of is if: You and you enemy are aligned at the "more than 24" " distance, but you then put an ADL right in front your troops.
This would mean that moving 12" Charging 11" (you would be at 11.001" so need to roll a 12 still) to reach the ADL an CC =)

Shhhh, you may open a can of worms. lol.

On topic, i would read the rules carefully in both the BRB and the stronhold book. If there any differences, you may want to be sure that both players are on the same page. One player may be assuming that all supplements are 'in effect" while the other may be expecting only a normal game without the optional rules.
